The Municipality of Przemyśl runs 12 public kindergartens in Przemyśl, which have different needs for providing preschool education services. Kindergarten No. 2 is attended by 200 children. Children are taught in 8 public groups. From year to year, more and more children require the organization of specialized classes. First of all, a large group of children requires correcting speech defects, improving the work of speech organs, stimulating language skills (95 children in the 2023/24 school year). More and more children are also finding themselves in need of special education due to autism, including Asperger's syndrome. A large group of children attending kindergarten have various types of deficits. She has disability certificates, decisions on the need for special education and opinions from the Psychological and Pedagogical Clinic (PPP) or is diagnosed as part of her own research in kindergarten. In the kindergarten in the school year 2023/24, 3 children were enrolled in special education on the basis of judgments issued by the PPP in Przemyśl: one child has diagnosed childhood autism with Asperger's syndrome and a disability certificate, the other child is diagnosed with psychomotor hyperactivity, dysphasia and autism, the third has diagnosed childhood autism with Asperger's syndrome. The kindergarten also provides the organization of the education of 10 children with PPP opinions. Of which 1 child has an opinion about the need for early support of the child's development (psychomotor hyperactivity, speech development disorders) and has a disability certificate. Other children, and they have an opinion due to speech defects: For example, dyslalia. All the above-mentioned children are covered by an appropriate form of education, taking into account the type of disability and disorders. They are provided with assistance in the following forms: support from a support teacher, corrective and compensatory classes, speech therapy, revalidation, developing emotional and social competences, support in the area of Sensory Integration, support from a special teacher and a psychologist. 4 more children are in the process of diagnosis in PPP, for this purpose opinions have also been issued on the multifaceted assessment of the functioning of children in kindergarten. There is a growing number of children in need of comprehensive psychological-pedagogical assistance (especially in the emotional-social and speech-pedagogical areas). While specialists for working with children with special educational needs can be employed taking into account the recommendations resulting from judgments, the problem is the lack of equipment and didactic tools necessary to conduct therapeutic activities and an adequately equipped office. In order to work properly with a pupil with a speech defect, it is necessary to have appropriate teaching aids. For children who are hyperactive and have problems with emotions, a quiet corner would be important as one of the ways to deal with difficult emotions. Separation in the kindergarten of such a place of rest, the so-called corner of silence, will allow the child to cut off from stimuli, as well as to get out of a difficult situation for the child. Thanks to this, the child can catch the distance, leaving the place or people who caused, for example, an outburst of anger. An inseparable aspect in preschool education is food and sanitation. In order to properly provide high-quality pre-school education services, a comprehensive renovation in the bathrooms will be carried out and cabinets and equipment in the kitchen will be replaced. In Kindergarten No. 19, 50 children are taught in 2 groups. In order to properly provide pre-school education services, it is necessary to replace furniture and equipment in the kitchen, as well as replace the carpet and install blinds. The aim of this project is to create conditions for equal access to high-quality pre-primary education through investments in infrastructure and equipment. This will be achieved through the implementation of the tasks planned in the project.
