Reconstruction of the Primary School in Lisich Jamie

As part of the project, part of the building of the Primary School in Lisich Jamie (container) will be rebuilt, which is currently not functional and in very poor technical condition, intended for two workshops and a corridor. In addition, two other workshops will be developed in the building from the existing toilet and cloakroom. In total, as a result of the adaptation and reconstruction of the rooms, 4 classrooms will be created, 10 stations each, equipped with infrastructure/equipment used for practical teaching of subjects in accordance with the STEAM model. Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics). The project provides for the implementation of tasks related to the development of application documentation, project and cost documentation, construction works and investor supervision and indirect costs for the above-mentioned subject of the project. The workshops will be used to implement the core curriculum as well as additional extracurricular activities. The project includes equipment for classrooms as well as accompanying infrastructure. The following workshops will be launched: • robotics and programming, • modeling, • journalism, • music. The rooms will be adapted and equipment will be purchased to meet the needs of people with disabilities, which will be used to educate children with behavioural or emotional disorders. The main problem identified concerning the school infrastructure at the Primary School in Lisich Jamie is the poor technical condition of the part of the facility and the lack of infrastructure used for practical teaching of subjects in accordance with the STEAM model. It was planned to create a workshop, taking into account the needs of the regional labour market (robotics and programming workshop), the possibility of developing students' interests (journalism and music workshops) and extending the School's existing activities in the field of aircraft model construction (modeling workshop). 11 years ago, the school in Lisich Jamach established cooperation with the Faculty of Power and Aviation of the Warsaw University of Technology, whose long-time lecturer was Prof. Franciszek Misztal - an outstanding Polish aircraft constructor, coming from Lisich Jam. Thanks to the above-mentioned cooperation, children from the school were able to participate in workshops organized at the Warsaw University of Technology, as well as in the gliding Olympiad "Smyki na start". The implementation of the project will increase the accessibility of students to quality education, including the adaptation of the infrastructure to people with special needs and to the teaching of subjects in accordance with the STEAM model, which will be inclusive in the field of education. Conditions will be created to prevent the exclusion and marginalisation of children from families with low social and material status who have not benefited from such activities. The implementation of the project will also contribute to the creation of conditions enabling the reconciliation of work and family life, as well as conditions for the social and intellectual development of children. Among the objectives that will be achieved through the implementation of the project are: – improving access to and the state of school infrastructure in the Municipality, – improving the quality of services provided – STEAM workshops, – improving the accessibility of classes implemented in the STEAM model for people with disabilities and people with special needs. – meeting people’s needs and expectations (social satisfaction).
