Modernization and furnishing of rooms in the Public Primary School No. 1 in Dynów

The project includes tasks related to improving the accessibility and quality of education in the city, which in the planning documents of the Municipality of Dynów serve a higher level of meeting the needs of the residents of the municipality. The scope of the project includes modernization and equipment of the Public Primary School No. 1 in Dynów, which will be the basis for the implementation of didactic tasks conducted in the institution as part of lessons and additional classes. The resulting infrastructure is a response to the identified needs in the field of developing the skills of artistically, linguistically and mathematically-informationally talented students based on the creative method of STEAM education (teaching in the form of projects and workshops), as well as the needs of children and young people at risk of social maladjustment, children and young people with special educational needs and students with disabilities, which together account for 41% of students at Public Primary School No. 1 in Dynów. The scope of the proposed project includes construction works (execution of new floors in 11 teaching rooms, library and catering workshop, replacement of window joinery in the gym), together with equipment (furniture and IT equipment and teaching aids), which will not only allow adaptation to the applicable technical standards, but above all the latest educational standards implemented on the basis of modern technologies taking into account the needs of all school users. As part of the project, it is also planned to transform one of the 3 mathematical laboratories into a robotics workshop and its retrofitting, which will create the opportunity for particularly talented students to develop their skills and abilities, as well as creativity thanks to the STEAM methods used during the classes. Such opportunities are usually available to students in larger urban centres. Students from the small towns of Dynas have limited opportunities to develop their talents, especially based on modern teaching methods. In turn, children with diagnosed disorders and disabilities must seek help and support in remote institutions. Thanks to the implementation of the project, the above-mentioned groups will be provided with appropriate accommodation and staff resources as well as teaching aids both for the development of talents and the implementation of individual teaching plans, which will allow the formation of certain behavioral and personality traits in students with special educational needs, which will guarantee them optimal socialization and creative functioning in society for the gifted. The implementation of the project is a response to the above-mentioned needs of talented students, as well as students at risk of social maladjustment and those with special educational needs and disabilities. The implementation of the project will solve the problem of unsatisfactory quality of educational conditions in Public Primary School No. 1 in Dynów, which results in an increasing risk of social exclusion caused by disparities in access to high-quality school education services and unequal development opportunities for children from the commune area. The reason for this situation is insufficient equipment in teaching aids ensuring effective implementation of the didactic process, poor technical condition of floor coverings, which limits the space provided for conducting development classes and individual teaching, as well as insufficient use of modern, innovative, information technologies and teaching systems in the educational institution in Dynów. The main objective of the project is to improve educational conditions and ensure equal access to quality and inclusive educational services at the Public Primary School No. 1 in Dynów.
