The applicant is the Municipality of Ropczyce, ropczycko-sędziszowski district, Podkarpackie Province. The municipality of Ropczyce operates on the basis of the Municipal Self-Government Act of 8 March 1990 and the Statute, has legal personality and is the basic unit of local territorial self-government. The main objective of the project is to increase access to pre-school education in the municipality of Ropczyce, Podkarpackie Province by: - creation of an additional 31 pre-school places within the 10-hour branch in the newly built building of the Public Kindergarten in Lubzin (rural area). The project assumes the creation of 31 additional pre-school places. Preschool education will be implemented in a newly built educational facility. Classes will be held from Monday to Friday from 6.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m., excluding school holidays and holiday breaks. Pre-school education will include the implementation of program content in accordance with the program basis of pre-school education. A person who currently acts as the Director of the previous Public Kindergarten in Lubzina - costs outside the project - will be appointed as the Director. In addition, the maintenance of the branch provides for incurring expenses for utilities, the purchase of office supplies, equipment and teaching aids, which will allow for effective implementation of pre-school education. The project will consist of the following tasks: 1) Costs of the current operation of 1 kindergarten branch. 2) Purchase of equipment. 3) Intermediate costs. The target group will be: pre-school children from the municipality of Ropczyce. The main objective can be achieved by achieving the specific objectives of: - increasing the number of places in the kindergarten, - enabling children with physical disabilities to use the kindergarten. The implementation of the project will take place from April 2026 to August 2027. The planned start of the task only in 2026 is due to the fact that the Preschool building in Lubzin, where the branch will be established, is currently under construction and its completion is planned for early 2026. The project responds to the projected demand for pre-school infrastructure in Lubzin. The project is in line with the competition documentation. The achievement of the main objective of the project contributes to the achievement of the specific objective indicated in the FEP 2021-2027 programme by: creating an additional 31 pre-primary education places. Through the implementation of the project, educational opportunities for children aged 3-5 living in Lubzin will increase, reducing inequalities in the dissemination of pre-school education between the city and the countryside. Thanks to early childhood education, children in the future will get to better schools and, as a consequence, improve their situation on the labour market. Through the possibility of providing pre-school education for children, parents will be able to return to work or start looking for a job and find it for non-working parents.
