Together at work - Department of Vocational Activity in Tarnobrzeg for social and professional integration

The aim of the project is to increase active social inclusion in order to promote equal opportunities, non-discrimination and active inclusion and to increase the employability of 20 people (12K/8M) with disabilities living in the city of Tarnobrzeg by establishing the Department of Occupational Activity (ZAZ) from 01.01.2026 to 31.12.2027. 7443 people with disabilities (OzN) live in Tarnobrzeg (Poland) (16.58% of the population), of whom 57.5% are people of post-production age and 55% are women. In 2023, 140 unemployed OZNs were registered in Tarnobrzeg, mostly long-term unemployed. The lack of APAs in the region and the limited employment opportunities for OZN indicate an urgent need to implement the project. The importance of the need to create an ZAZ in Tarnobrzeg has been recognised even by the Podkarpackie Provincial Office, which indicates on its website (https://rzeszow.uw.gov.pl/for-institutions/disability/professional-activity establishments) that Tarnobrzeg is one of the 2 municipal districts where an ZAZ is lacking and the needs of the OZN remain unmet. The project is part of the specific objective of the FEPK.07.15 programme "Fostering active social inclusion to promote equal opportunities", implementing activities activating people furthest from the labour market. The investment is in line with the provisions of the ‘Programme of Action for Persons with Disabilities for the City of Tarnobrzeg 2025-2029’ and the strategy of the Podkarpackie Province. UP will be 20 OzN: at least 70% with a severe judgment and up to 30% with a moderate degree of disability, including persons with autism, intellectual disability or mental illness. UP are people at risk of social exclusion, with limited access to the labour market, low qualifications, lack of professional experience and reliance on social assistance. The project is addressed to the SA from the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, in particular from Tarnobrzeg and Tarnobrzeg County. OzN is distinguished by barriers such as: low professional qualifications, lack of work experience, dependence on social assistance and low self-esteem. Under ZAZ UP, they will take part in a comprehensive socio-occupational rehabilitation programme, including vocational training, psychological and rehabilitation support. The support will be tailored to the personal preferences of these people, the type of disability and will result from the predisposition of UP. The support will include the creation of new reintegration sites in the newly established entity - the Occupational Activation Department (a separate org. and finans.unit) The Applicant is obliged to process personal data transferred to the OzN in accordance with the provisions of the law on the protection of personal data, in particular with the provisions of the GDPR. Main task: 1. Adaptation of infrastructure for ZAZ. 2. Technical preparation and activities in gastronomy. 3. Implementation of cleaning services and greenery care. 4. Substantive preparation of tasks. 5. Social and professional reintegration of ZAZ participants. 6. Integration of the project and ongoing activities of ZAZ. 7. Indirect costs. The support will be tailored to the preferences and predispositions of the participants and their type of disability. Support in ZAZ will include vocational training, psychological support, project results: • Creation of sustainable jobs for the 20 SAs. • Starting a job on the open market or registering with UP by at least 5% of participants. • Increase the social and professional skills of participants. • Reducing the dependency of participants on social assistance. • Strengthen the integration of the SA into the local community. • Increased awareness of OZN's professional potential The UP project will provide them with qualifications, professional experience and a sense of social belonging.
