The subject of the project is the development of the ITI Strategy MOF Przemyśl, which will act as a territorial strategy referred to in Article 29 of Regulation (EU) 2021/1060 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 June 2021 laying down common provisions on the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund Plus, the Cohesion Fund, the Just Transition Fund and the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund and financial rules for those and for the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund, the Internal Security Fund and the Instrument for Financial Support for Border Management and Visa Policy. The Municipal Functional Area (MOF) of Przemyśl comprises the city of Przemyśl and five neighbouring municipalities: The Commune of Krasiczyn, the Commune of Medyka, the Commune of Orły, the Commune of Przemyśl and the Commune of Żurawica. As part of this document, individual local government units will implement integrated projects aimed at increasing the internal cohesion of the MOF and improving the quality of life of residents. The aim of the strategy development is to promote an integrated approach to the problems of MOF Przemyśl and to identify its potential directions of development. This will be achieved through specific objectives: strengthening cooperation, identifying areas of support and common development goals and creating the substantive basis for obtaining external funds, including the implementation of Integrated Territorial Investments. The preparation of the ZIT MOF Przemyśl Strategy will allow us to jointly plan the socio-economic development of the entire functional area and apply for extra-budgetary funds. The development of the ZIT MOF Przemyśl Strategy will enable the effective implementation of integrated projects responding in a comprehensive manner to the needs and problems of local governments. The strategy will be used by the city of Przemyśl and municipalities forming part of the Municipal Functional Area of Przemyśl in the development of projects and application for external funds, including from the budget of the European Union, in particular under the European Funds for 2021-2027. The document will be prepared in accordance with the provisions of the Implementation Act and the rules for the implementation of territorial instruments in Poland in the EU financial perspective for 2021-2027. This project is consistent with the objective of the Technical Assistance priority. The preparation of the ITI Strategy will ensure effective and efficient implementation of the regional programme European Funds for Subcarpathia 2021-2027 (FEP) in the area of the Urban Functional Area of Industry - especially in the implementation of activities under the territorial instrument of ITI. The strategy contributes directly to improving the administrative capacity of beneficiaries, i.e. municipalities forming a functional area.
