Expansion of the separate collection system for municipal waste in the municipality of Brusy

The subject of the project is the expansion of the separate collection system for municipal waste in the municipality of Brusy through the purchase of containers for the separate collection of municipal waste and a low-emission car for the collection of municipal waste. The project will be implemented in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, Chojnicki County, in the Brusy Commune. The target group of this project are the residents of the Municipality of Brusy. The aim of the project is to: Supporting the transition to a circular and resource-efficient economy through the purchase of containers for the separate collection of municipal waste and the purchase of a low-emission car for the collection of municipal waste in the municipality of Brusy by the end of 2025. The implementation of the investment will enable the re-use of objects - separate collection is a source of raw materials, the processing of which for re-use requires less effort than in the case of production using primary raw materials. The selected type of project was indicated as subject to co-financing in the description of Measure 2.13. in the SZOP and in the Schedule of calls for applications for co-financing under the FEP 2021-2027. The project is part of project type 3. construction, expansion of separate collection systems for municipal waste, including biodegradable waste. This project is the "first stage" in the recycling process, which is why it fits into the hierarchy of waste management methods. It allows them to be collected separately for further processing and recycling. The tasks planned under the project are: 1. Development of a feasibility study; 2. Purchase of equipment for separate collection of municipal waste; 3. Information and promotion activities. Purchase of equipment includes: - containers for separate collection of municipal waste for metal and plastic (240 l.) in the amount of 2 500 pcs., - a low-emission vehicle for separate collection of municipal waste meeting the conditions for clean vehicles defined in Directive 2009/33/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council. The project meets the minimum requirements for promotional activities. The tasks and budget of the project include: - preparation of a project information board and its installation in a visible place at the place of project implementation, - placing a short description of the project on the social media pages of the project promoter and on its website, - placing information stickers on the purchased equipment. The promotional activities provided for in the project meet the information and promotion standard set out in Annex 2 to the MFiPR Guidelines for the implementation of equality principles under EU funds for 2021-2027 and will comply with the FEP 2021-2027 Applicant and Beneficiary Manual. The urgency of the proposed measures results from the need to comply with the statutory requirements, including in particular the need for the municipality to achieve the required level of preparation for re-use and recycling of municipal waste of at least 60% by weight for 2030. According to Art. 1 point 10 of the Act of 13 September 1996 on maintaining cleanliness and order in municipalities, the Municipality of Brusy is obliged to comply with these standards. In 2022, the municipality of Brusy reached the required level of preparation for re-use and recycling. Therefore, the urgency of the project results from the need to comply with statutory requirements and the need to reduce the amount of municipal waste going to landfills, which will contribute to achieving the environmental and economic objectives.
