Extension of provincial road No 221 from Janków to the Kościerzyna Bypass – Section B – section from Kolbuda to Przywidz

As part of the investment, 12.23 km of provincial road No 221 on the section from Janków to the Kościerzyna Bypass – Section B – from Kolbuda to Przywidz and the intersections located on that section of the road will be extended. In addition, the areas of intersections of district and municipal roads with the provincial road, as well as a number of elements of the existing technical infrastructure, will be subject to construction and reconstruction. The aim of the road extension is to adapt it to class G road parameters and improve the safety conditions of all road users. The project provides for the reconstruction of the surface structure along with the strengthening of the ground floor, the reconstruction of the geometry of intersections and arcs of the route with the maximum desire to use the existing road body, the separation of pedestrian and bicycle traffic from the roadway on some sections (construction of pavements and pedestrian-bicycle paths) and the construction of bus stops. The construction of the main road carriageway and subordinated roads at intersections will have a bituminous surface. The same will apply in the case of exits to the fields, while exits through the pavements will receive pavements made of concrete cube. The pavements have been designed with a surface of concrete cube and the walking and cycling paths will receive a bituminous surface. As part of the safety improvement, all road inlets to the village will have raised islands bending the driving path as part of physical measures to slow down traffic. Almost all pedestrian crossings and cyclist crossings will be equipped with asylums (elevated islands in the road axis) and traffic lanes in localities will be 3.5 or 3.25 m wide. Some of the existing horizontal arches outside the built-up area will be enlarged due to their adaptation to class G road parameters. As a rule, the use of 3.5 m wide traffic lanes in the street section, while in the 3.0 m wide road section. Only in m. Pomlewo, due to the school's immediate vicinity, the width of traffic lanes has been reduced to 3.25 m in order to calm traffic.
