Development of kindergarten education in Kindergarten in Nowy Klincz

The aim of the project is to increase access to pre-school education in the Commune of Kościerzyna and to improve the quality of educational services aimed at raising the key competences (KC) of pre-schoolers and preparing them from kindergarten to the needs of the labour market. The project will involve 45 children (23K) from Kindergarten in Nowy Klincz. An additional 20 pre-school places will be created. The infrastructure ensuring the implementation of this intention will be financed by an ERDF project. The project is integrated with the project entitled "Expansion of the School and Pre-school Complex in Nowy Klincz" submitted under measure 6.1. The preschool is now in one room. Shortage of preschool places for 3-5-year-old children from the area of the Kościerzyna Commune. 3-let. demographer forecast. indicates that for children from the age of 3 there will be a shortage of about 35% of PLO seats in Gm. K-na. The diagnosis of needs in the area of pre-school education of Gm.K-na (DPEPGK) (Order 98/2023 of the Mayor of Gm.Kna of 19 September 2023) showed the need to increase the number of places in the PLO for children from, among others, Nowy Klincz, an area developing through the proximity of the city of Kościerzyna and the migration of its inhabitants to Gm. K-na. As part of the planned activities, it is planned to purchase equipment for new pre-school rooms, the costs of operating an additional pre-school branch. Less educational opportunities for preschool children with secondary education. According to the DPEPGK, 12 (7K) children with deficits are covered by specialist activities in the PLO. Despite the needs, specialist activities are carried out only for approx. 50% of children in need. Corrective gymnastics is not conducted at all. Parents rarely on their own initiative, despite posture defects in children, apply for a certificate of the need to conduct a correctional gym. As part of the planned activities, additional classes in speech therapy and corrective gymnastics will be conducted. Low level of KK and skills of preschool children. The Diagnosis of development needs and planned support for schools in Gm. Kościerzyna (Order 97/2023 of the Mayor of Gm.Kna of 19 September 2023) shows that the result of the 8th-grade exam in every single part of the exam in Gm K-na is below the regional and national average. In order to equalize educational opportunities for children at the later stages of education, it is necessary to strengthen them at the pre-school stage. One of the barriers for parents is the financial and transportation barriers. The need to implement additional, developing KK and shaping the right attitudes / skills was indicated in DPEPGK by the teaching staff as well as children's guardians. As part of the planned activities, there will be classes in rhythmics, career counseling and programming and English. Lack of teaching skills of teachers. Results of surveys among PLO staff (p. 45 DPEPGK) indicated that only 33% of teachers are well prepared to use ICT tools. The barriers to self-education include the lack of ICT equipment in the kindergarten and the lack of school offer in the district. The action will contribute to qualitative changes in the PLO. Lack of sufficient awareness of parents/guardians of children to properly support the development of their children. The development of the child must gain a balance between upbringing at home and on the outside. Parents often do not know how to properly respond to educational problems. As many as 80% of parents/op. children would like to benefit from support in the child's emotional development, concentration of attention in the child, development of speech apparatus, etc. (p. 47 DPEPGK) but there are no such forms of on-site support (K-na). For parents, workshops will be held to strengthen the child's self-esteem, set boundaries for children and communication between the parent and the child, practice speech apparatus at home. The activities in the project in the field of raising the KK and specialist classes will only be complementary to the activities carried out by the kindergarten before the start of the project. The applicant is the Commune of Kościerzyna and the developer is the Department of Education of the Commune of Kościerzyna.
