The aim of the project is to increase access to pre-school education in the Commune of Kościerzyna and to improve the quality of educational services aimed at raising the skills of key pre-schoolers and preparing them from kindergarten to the needs of the labour market. The project will include at least 300 children(155K) from the 7th PLO, i.e. from Wielki Klincz, Nowy Klincz, Łubiana, Wąglikowice, Skorzew, Niedamów and Kłobuczyn, 25 people from the PLO staff(1M) and 150 parents/guardians(20M). 20 pre-front seats will be created. Shortage of preschool places for smaller children from the area of Gm.Kościerzyna. A 3-year demographer forecast indicates that for children from the age of 3 there will be a shortage of about 35% of PLO seats in Gm. K-na. The diagnosis of pre-school education needs in Gm.K-na (DPEPGK) (Order 98/2023 of the Mayor of Gm.K-na of 19 September 2023) showed the need to increase the number of places in the PLO for children from Nowy Klincz and Niedamów, among others. The project will include the creation of the Virgin Mary in Niedamów. During the implementation and sustainability of the project, the number of children to be enrolled in pre-primary education will be higher than the number of places. DPEPGK – data from SIO and Mr K-na – in 2022/2023, 511 children (260K) were enrolled in pre-school education, including 342 children (177K) aged 3-5. In 2023/2024, there will be 428 children aged 3-5, 422 in 2024/2025 and 420 in 2025/2026. Births from 2017-2022 for Niedamów and Dębogór - 51 children, but the reports included: Stawisk, Sarnów, N.Kiszewy. Less educational opportunities for preschool children with educational needs. According to the DPEPGK, there are 188 (89K) children with deficits in specialist areas. Activities carried out in 2022/2023: speech therapy-167 children(80K), corrective-compensation classes-37 children(20K), corrective gym-7 children(5K), pedagog-1 M therapy. Despite the needs, specialist classes are conducted only for approx. 50% of children in need, including those who are not conducted at all in Wąglikowice. Parents rarely on their own initiative, despite posture defects in children, apply for a certificate of the need to conduct a correctional gym. Low level of key competences (KCs) and skills of pre-school children. According to the Diagnosis of development needs and planned support for schools of the Commune of Kościerzyna, adopted by Order 97/2023 of the Mayor of the Commune of K-na of 19 September 2023, the result of the 8-class exam in at least one part of the exam in the Commune of K-na is below the regional and national average. In order to equalize educational opportunities for children at further stages of education, it is necessary to strengthen them at the pre-school stage. The PLO analysis shows that there are shortcomings in the applicable educational stimulants. The need to carry out additional classes, developing the KK and shaping the right attitudes / skills was indicated in the pre-school diagnosis by the teaching staff and children's caregivers. Analysis of Key Competence Needs (p. 65 DPEPGK) points to the need for: shaping socio-emotional competences – 81%, shaping communication skills – 74%, developing natural-technical competences – 52%. (own research). Lack of teaching skills of teachers. Results of surveys among PLO staff (p. 66 DPEPGK) indicated that only 26% of PLO teachers are very well prepared to use ICT tools, and less than half are very well prepared to use methods conducive to shaping the right attitudes and skills and competences of children. Support is also needed for teacher-child-parent communication. Lack of awareness of parents/guardians of children to properly support development. Proper development of the child must gain a balance between upbringing at home and in the external environment. Parents often do not know how to properly respond to problems in terms of motivating children, strengthening children's self-esteem. As many as 69% of parents/guardians of preschool children would like to benefit from training in the area of emotional development of the child, concentration of attention in the child, development of speech apparatus, etc. (p. 66 DPEPGK)
