As a result of the diagnosis carried out in Starogard Gdański Commune schools, we plan to implement inclusive education, which assumes helping students with disabilities, socially maladjusted, behavioural and emotional disorders, learning difficulties and students with migration experience (including repatriates). Our schools are attended by 36 students with a disability certificate issued by PPP. They will represent more than 50% of the number of supported pupils (36 in a group of 70 pupils). The project will involve students from all schools for which the municipality of Starogard Gdański is the leading authority. After a detailed analysis of the documents, i.e. disability certificates issued by the Psychological and Pedagogical Clinic, an analysis of the needs of children and their parents, consultations with specialists working with students with the certificate, it appears that it is necessary to support access to psychological staff, special educators, teacher assistance and assistants of disabled people in schools. We need the support of the education system staff in improving the quality of inclusive education, including the use of universal design and reasonable adjustments in education, in order to perform our duties more intensively and effectively. The diagnosis also shows the need to carry out interesting activities for children, going beyond the core curriculum covering key competences, including ICT and social skills, including as part of the integration of children. The need for professional counselling was also diagnosed, the implementation of which we plan to base on ORE scenarios as part of the model developed under the OP KED with learning about professions free from gender stereotypes (professional pre-orientation). In order for our activities to be more effective, we need specialized tools, a friendly and safe place for therapeutic work. The child/student needs to feel good and safe in their workplace/study. It is therefore necessary to purchase teaching aids, diagnostic tools, AI rooms and adapt rooms to their use by persons with disabilities. In the light of changing educational regulations, we need direct support from school leaders in the organisation of inclusive education, through the organisation and participation in thematic training, i.e. training and support for school leaders in the implementation of inclusive education. We note the need for an information campaign aimed at parents and pupils, which will explain the idea of inclusive education and will support parents and carers of pupils with special developmental and educational needs and develop cooperation with parents and carers through regular meetings between parents and specialists. During the meetings, among others, we will have the opportunity to present to parents what problems their child is struggling with – we are convinced that it will be easier for parents to understand their children. Thanks to cooperation with a special educational center, we have the opportunity to use the knowledge and experience of the employees of these units, which allows us to look at the student multidimensionally and individualize his needs. We also intend to cooperate with SCWEW in Nowy Dwór Gdański. Thanks to the announced open call for a project partner, we were also able to select an experienced entity in the implementation of projects co-financed by the European Union, running at the same time the Teacher Training Centre and the Institute for Inclusive Education. The programmes and activities indicated in the application will allow us to work and communicate better with the student and allow students to better understand the environment.
