Gdańsk City of Professionals - stage II

The aim of the project is to improve the quality of vocational education by adapting vocational schools to the changing economy, including in particular to the needs of key industries for the region. Support will be provided to a network of schools (SZK) of 5 teams consisting of 5 technicians and 4 SZK industry 1st degree, a total of 9 facilities: • Energy School Complex: Technikum Nr 13, SZK Branżowa I st. nr 10 (ZSE) • Conradinum Ship and Technical Schools: Technikum Nr 18, SZK Branżowa I st. nr 18 (SOiT) • Communication School Complex: Technikum No. 4 • Maritime School Complex: Technikum Nr 16, SZK Branżowa I st. nr 16 (ZSM) • Gastronomy and Hotel School Complex: Technikum No. 3, SZK Branżowa I st. no. 3 (ZSGH) The project is addressed to 2285 students (UCZ) studying in 6 branches: 4 leading: ICT (INF) – ZSŁ, ZSE, electronic-mechatronic (ELM) – SOiT, ZSŁ, electricity (ELE), forwarding and logistics (SPL) – ZSM and 2 supplementary: hospitality and tourism (HGT) – ZSGH, ZSM, water transport (TWO) – SOiT, ZSM. Industries are in line with the needs of the regional labour market and correspond to key areas of the voivodship economy. Pomorskie, comply with the Smart Specializations of Pomerania (ISP 1), (ISP 2), (ISP 3). The competitions selected for the project activities respond to the current and forecasted demand for specialists according to the Polish Academy of Sciences. Competition Barometer for Gdańsk district and Gdańsk district for 2022. 350 Teachers (NAUCZ) are the staff of the above-mentioned University of Warsaw. SZK in this mainly Teach Profession Subjects. The main objective will be implemented through specific objectives, defined in the diagnosis of educational and development needs of the SZK carried out by the Municipality of the City of Gdańsk (GMG) at the stage of the project concept as part of the project of losses. ‘Shaping the network of vocational schools in Pomerania – Phase II’ in 2021-2027, i.e.: • increasing the chances of the UCZ SZK profession to succeed on the labour market, including through the acquisition of so-called soft competences • adapting the competences of the profession. LEARN to the requirements of the dynamically changing labour market • increase the participation and systematization of cooperation of SZK profession. with employers • promote a positive image of vocational education among the inhabitants of Pomerania. The scope of the project activities is in line with the activities carried out by GMG for the development and promotion of vocational education. The assumptions of the project are in line with local strategic documents, e.g. The War Development Strategy. Pom. 2030: Operational objective 2.1 Action 1.2.2. Attractive vocational education., Gdańsk 2030Plus. City Development Strategy: Objective 2., Measure 2.1 Development of education systems at every stage of life with a focus on the comp. of the future and digitalisation and development of talents. The project is a continuation of the first stage project - RPPM.03.03.01-22-0021/16. Project support is a response to the diagnosed problems of the SZK network: • Insufficient refurbishment of the industry teaching base • Insufficiently attractive internships and apprenticeships for UCZ • Insufficient level of cooperation with employers • Insufficient level of passability of vocational examinations. • Shortcomings in the coordination of career advice. • Lack of qualified and ready to change pedagogical staff. The project will continue the experiences implemented in the I edition, which fit into the above-mentioned problem areas of the SZK: • involvement of entrepreneurs in cooperation with SZK - instruments conducive to building stronger relationships with employers are internships, study trips, cooperation in the organization of additional classes / trainings, cooperation with the coordinator of career counseling. • training/courses for pupils providing qualifications, vocational skills, which will increase the passability of vocational exams. and contribute to increasing their employability • raising the competences of staff (training, postgraduate studies, workshops) providing modernization of the didactic base purchases. didactic assistance and equipment taking into account the adaptation of the laboratory to the examination requirements and creating learning conditions similar to the requirements of the labour market.
