The Blue Sails of Knowledge project is implemented in partnership between the Municipality of Krynica Morska (JST) and the POWER ZONE FOUNDATION (NGO). The applicant and the Partner have their headquarters in the Pomeranian Voivodeship. The Municipality of Krynica Morska (GMKM) is the lead authority for the only school covered by the project, the Janusz Korczak Primary School in Krynica Morska. The aim of the project is to increase the availability of high-quality general education, education of students' key competences, support for the Primary School in Krynica Morska, its students and teachers. Support in the development of key competences is planned, based on the diagnosis of needs and aimed at improving the quality of education. Duration of the project: from 01.10.2024 to 31.08.2027. The project was prepared on the basis of the results of the diagnosis from December 2023, which included students, teachers, management, parents and specialists who are related to the educational activities of the Primary School (SP). Data for the diagnosis of needs were obtained from surveys and interviews with the above-mentioned. The project will support: *65 students (U) of the Primary School in Krynica Morska, including 32K, including students with difficulties in meeting educational requirements, *20 teachers (N), teachers working on a contract of employment in SP, including 15K. Participants are people who live, work or learn in the Pomeranian Voivodeship. The most important problems identified in the diagnosis among the respondents: *significant distance from urban centres offering additional and extracurricular activities (83%), *lack of local extracurricular cultural and educational offer adequate to pupils' interests (88%), *less interesting forms of teaching (62%), *lack of innovative approach to the system of learning and evaluation (58%), *insufficient scope of psychological and professional counselling provided in the SP (80%), *deficiency in the facilities (88%), *small number of free and attractive activities for pupils - extracurricular forms of spending time and integration, especially related to the seaside location of Krynica Morska (74%), *insufficient qualifications of the employed staff due to the inability to systematically carry out qualifications (88%), *financial and territorial limitations in improving the qualifications of both pupils and teachers (90%). Actions planned in the project that have a long-term impact on the quality of general education and the education of key competences: *teaching and equalization classes carried out in subjects with the results of external exams below the provincial average, including: Mathematics, Polish, foreign; *additional activities allowing the development of interests; *purchase of teaching aids and equipment necessary for the implementation of classes under the project, *increasing the qualifications and skills of teachers: workshops, individual and group training, postgraduate studies in a field that harmonizes with the problems and needs of students. *extracurricular and extracurricular activities, including holiday trips, supporting the acquisition of key competences, including social, personal, learning and civic competences. The project will be implemented in a comprehensive manner, as support for teachers is linked to support addressed to students. Students under the project will benefit from a variety of support, including in the field of equalizing educational opportunities, developing interests, psychological and pedagogical support, career counseling, and extracurricular and extracurricular activities. The project supports the themes of activities defined in the ‘Integrated Skills Strategy 2030’ (detailed part). With the support of the Digital Competence Framework, the Digital Competence Standard under the Digital Competence Framework is used. The result of the project will be the acquisition of qualifications/competences by at least 16 teachers and at least 53 students.
