THE PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT is to support students in the development of their abilities by implementing comprehensive actions aimed at increasing the quality and efficiency of the education system in terms of supporting students gifted in accordance with the diagnosed educational and development needs of such students in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, including barriers of char. communication and social economy. The academic forms of support planned under the project are a continuation of the activities implemented by the University of Gdańsk (UG) in 2016-2023 under the project. ‘Capables of Pomerania – University of Gdańsk’, which is part of the ‘Capables of Pomerania’ strategic project. The forms of support developed were and are a response to the needs of talented pupils diagnosed in this project and barriers to meeting these needs (diagnosis included in the "Capable from Pomerania. Model of the system for supporting gifted pupils). The selection of the activities of this project is the result of an evaluation of the implemented activities in order to make them even more accessible to the needs of gifted students, especially those living in smaller towns. The evaluation is additionally based on group interviews conducted with teachers of talented students from smaller towns of the Pomeranian Voivodeship in 2019-2023 during scientific workshops conducted by the University of Gdańsk for talented students from outside the Tri-City. ACTIVITIES PLANNED IN THE PROJECT: Academic Meetings (SA), Science Meetings (SN), R&D Projects (PR&D) with high school students, E-learning Courses (KEL), Academic Olympic Circles (AKO), Scientific Workshops (WN), Scientific Care (OP). A detailed description of these forms is provided in the ‘Tasks’ section. Thanks to the implementation of the project by the University of Gdańsk, forms of support may concern both the areas of science and natural sciences, social sciences and the humanities. In this way, the project will provide support to the widest possible group of gifted students, while allowing for a very high individualization of support for individual students and ongoing access to support to current needs. Students can participate in more than one form of support. The TARGET GROUP (GD) in the project consists of talented students (approx. 2000 pers. 1000K and 1000M) from the Pomeranian Voivodeship, who will take part in the proposed forms of support. In the GD project, there are minors, where the obligatory element is the care of a teacher and therefore the project also plans to support teachers of talented students (30 pers. 15K and 15M): Improvement courses (KD). This support will be addressed only to teachers who are also obligatory guardians of groups of gifted students participating in the Scientific Workshops, which are planned as several-day didactic classes for students (with accommodation in UG dormitories). The subject of KD will include, among others, working with a student gifted using the resources of the Integrated Educational Platform (ZPE) (Criterion: Area D). MAIN RESULTS: development of pupils' abilities in the field of science and natural sciences, social sciences and humanities; Reducing disparities in access to a wider range of knowledge for gifted pupils with socio-economic and territorial barriers; stimulation of creativity and innovation of pupils; increasing teachers' knowledge and didactic skills in the field of teaching/working methods with gifted pupils. The charter of this project has been taken into account in the strategic project entitled ‘Capable of Pomerania’ in accordance with the Regional Strategic Programme for Education and Social Capital (Criterion: Area C). The project will support the themes of activities defined in the ‘Integrated Skills Strategy 2030 (detailed part), in particular: ‘Subject 2.
