The project "Center of Social Integration in Pruszcz Gdański with comprehensive support for residents of the Gdańsk poviat" aims to increase social activity. 425 unemployed or inactive (including 170 persons with disabilities) residents of the Gdańsk poviat excluded or at risk of social exclusion in the period from 01.01.2024 to 31.12.2028. The project assumes activities aimed at acquiring competences in the social field, e.g. sensitivity to the needs of others, working in a group, strengthening self-esteem, recognizing one's needs and strengths, taking care of mental and physical health, improving interpersonal relationships and communication, stress management skills, strengthening and developing agency, assertiveness, etc. In the field of activities aimed at the professional sphere, we distinguish, among others, learning good work organization, punctuality and conscientiousness, learning to move around the labour market - practical skills related to the construction of CVs, effective job search, activation in the field of development through participation in vocational training, which are aimed at increasing competences and qualifications leading to employment on the open labour market. The programme will be implemented by the Centre for Social Integration (CIS) in Pruszcz Gdański, which was established on 20 October 2021, and will be a continuation of current activities carried out for the benefit of the residents of the district. The project also assumes the involvement of environmental employees, who will be responsible, among others, for recruitment and filling out all documents with the beneficiary, contact with the CIS staff and participation in networking meetings with the Leader. There are planned 10 six-month editions of about 43 people, with continuous recruitment. An Individual Social Employment Program will be signed with each Participant, after a previous tripartite diagnosis with a social worker, psychologist and CIS professional advisor and after receiving a decision on the absence of contraindications to take up a workshop from an occupational medicine doctor. Each Participant will be provided with a ticket, meals, OHS training, NNW insurance and workwear if required by the selected workshop. Participants have the opportunity to benefit from specialist support 5 days a week for 6 hours offered by a psychologist, professional advisor, social worker, Participant's assistant and workshop instructors. They will also be required to participate in integrating and socializing classes, which are aimed at developing social skills, through participation in educational workshops improving soft skills, but also in exits to restaurants or cinemas. The professional workshops offered by CIS have a two-fold formula. They take place on the spot in the CIS under the supervision of workshop instructors - handicraft and gardening and cleaning workshop, or at an employer on the open labour market. The workshop is tailored individually to the possibilities, skills and willingness of the Participant. The project is addressed to residents of the Gdańsk county, including people living in the areas of communes excluded by transport - Przywidz and Cedry Wielkie. Due to the high prices of monthly/one-time tickets, we plan to refund and purchase tickets for all commuting CIS Participants. We plan to accommodate 425 people, including 170 (40%) people with disabilities. (70K/100M). The building in which the CIS is located is one-storey, and more than that it has a driveway for the disabled. The project is aimed at both women and men, in accordance with the principle of equal opportunities and non-discrimination. We plan to support the described activities with the work of volunteers. Thanks to the implementation of CIS tasks, we plan that at least 28% of Participants will take up employment on the open labour market, including self-employed. The tasks and support offered will respond to the problems, needs and barriers of people excluded or at risk of exclusion, residents of the Gdańsk area.
