SAFE TOGETHER! VADEMECUM OF MODERN COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES

Depth objective: Strengthening the potential of the Gdańsk Region NSZZ "Solidarność" (Solidarity) as a social partner through activities aimed at the development of the union, i.e. expertise and schools. for organizers and trade union activists aimed at increasing the number of unions in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, strengthening the expert potential of activists and improving the reception of communities. Target Gr.: Members of the association registered in the structures of RG from the area of Pom voivodship. Diagnosis of problems faced by union activists from the RG area and elaboration. recommendations are the basis for the implementation of the project. Problem situation: 1. Age-high average age of members~43 years, union activists~49 years. In gr. aged 18-24, only 3% belong to ZZ, gr. 25-34-7%. The ability to respond to demographic challenges is crucial for RG, including through schools and the development of future trade union leaders, as well as the ‘rejuvenation’ of the image of the union. (Trade unions in public perception, Survey report in six countries, 2019) 2. Changes in business-to-suppression of large companies by SMEs (99.8% are SMEs, 97.2% micro-enterprises) will result in a decrease in the number of commissions and unionisation (reason: possibility of establishing a union with at least 10 members) (own data: number of works committees at 12/2022-322 KZ, currently 303 KZ) 3. The decreasing number of members means less financial influence and fewer opportunities for schools. new trade union leaders, improving the competences of current leaders, commissioning expert opinions or conducting educational and image campaigns in the external media. One of the main tasks of the RG is to support its members in the fight for better working conditions and wages, for the necessary changes in the system, political and social. Expert background is one of the weaknesses of RG. It is lacking in this activity. Union contributions are not sufficient for expert activities and schools. The needs analysis carried out in the RG (5211 members) shows that the greatest needs are in the following areas: union organisation(3899-75%), communication-negotiation skills(2789-54%), economist-finance analysis(2130-41%), stress management skills (2857-55%) and image creation (3245-62%). The shape of the project, i.e. the substantive scope, selection and assignment of the number of people to schools, was dependent on the above analysis. The way to stop the falling unionization is to implement a consistent methodology of org. employees, combined with the school system of trade unionists. Organizing is understood not only as recruiting new members, but also increasing their impact potential by running campaigns/supporting trade union activists. The basis of the project activities will be an expert opinion (section 1) on the barriers to joining ZZ in order to develop a strategy for the development of RG and mapping companies (size, structure, employment) in the voivodship of Pom. Training in relationship development and stress resistance for org. and leaders (+mentoring, field work with 14days/8h organizers) (task 2) will allow for training for people who will contribute to the growth of the membership base through the implementation of work in the task. 1 RGS development strategy. School in the back. 3 will combine negotiation skills, econom.-finance. and content marketing in order to operate more effectively within the org. based on the specificity of the workplace. According to the development strategy developed, a professional image campaign (project 4) will be carried out through, among others, social media in order to reach a wide audience, especially young people, educating the community on the functioning of the RG, the support offered. 290os(145K/145M) will take part in the school, RG activists, min.80% will increase their competences according to validation procedures. The implementation of the actions will contribute to the improvement of the image of the SGS as a trade union professor, providing assistance to its members in the form of advice, training, support in negotiations with the employer and concluding the ZUZP.
