The project concerns the development of public infrastructure for vocational education in the Wejherowo district as part of the strategic project ‘Shaping the network of vocational schools in Pomerania’. The investment will be implemented in an integrated manner with the project submitted in the call for action 5.8 General and vocational education, co-financed by the ESF+. The subject of the project in the field of construction works is the extension of the ‘C’ wing building of the Hipolit Roszczynalski District School Complex No 2 in Rumia, together with the reconstruction of the land development. The construction plan is located on the following plots: 162/30, 162/27, 162/28, 163/3, 163/4; Rumia 10. ul. Grunwaldzka in Rumia. The school's usable area will be increased by 891 m2 and 9 new studios with a capacity of 270 students. The construction works will include the construction of an elevator adapted for the disabled. The project includes equipping the new part of the school. The investment has a building permit. On 14 November 2023, a construction contract was signed with the contractor. As regards the purchase of equipment, it is planned to equip 27 laboratories and laboratories in 5 schools, i.e. PZS No 2 in Rumia, PZS Reda, PZS No 2 in Wejherowo, PZS No 4 in Wejherowo and PPZSP in Wejherowo include:  furniture – 1342 pieces,  software – 8 licences (including multi-station licences),  specialised equipment – 68 pieces,  simulators – 50 pieces,  computer equipment – 26 pieces. The classification of industries is as follows: A. Leading industries: 1. MEC - mechanical in PZS No. 2 in Rumia for competitions: mechanic-assembler and equipment, locksmith, installer of pipeline systems and in PZS No. 4 in Wejherowo for competitions: mechanic, locksmith, i.e. welding 2. SPL- Forwarding and logistics in PZS No. 2 for professions: t. logistics and t. forwarder 3. ELE - Elektroenergetyczne - PZS No. 4 in Wejherowo for competitions: refrigeration and air-conditioning techniques and PZS No 2 in Wejherowo for competitions: t. electrician, t. marine equipment and renewable energy systems, t. energetics, t. lifting equipment. B. Complementary industries: 1. HGT - Hotel-gastronomy-tourism. PZS No. 2 in Rumia for competitions: t. nutrition, t. catering services, t. tourism organisations, t. hospitality, chef. 2. MED - Healthcare in PPZSP in Wejherowo for professions: dental assistant, dental hygienist, medical caregiver, orthooptist, masseuse, t. electroradiologist, t. medical sterilization, occupational therapist. The project envisages the use of tools and technologies enabling remote education and improving digital accessibility. It is included in 4 areas of Smart Specializations of Pomerania. The project provides for a package of various forms of cooperation with employers. The project is a continuation of projects implemented as part of a strategic project coordinated by the Pomeranian Voivodeship Self-Government entitled: "Development of a network of upper secondary vocational schools taking into account the needs of sub-regional and regional labour markets" identified in the Regional Strategic Programme for professional and social activity (Active Pomerania). The task includes two types of projects, i.e. 1. Purchase of durable equipment, including equipment, tools and teaching aids of existing vocational schools, furniture, in particular vocational training workshops, teaching laboratories, workshops and classrooms for practical apprenticeships, 2. Reconstruction, construction works, renovation of vocational school facilities, including school buildings, workshops - only in connection with the first type of project On 14 November 2023, a contract was signed for construction works for the performance of tasks in District Team No 2 in Rumia as a result of the contracting authority’s selection of the contractor’s tender in a public procurement procedure conducted in the basic mode for the extension of PZS No 2 in Rumia.
