The project involves the purchase of computer lab equipment for the purpose of improving the quality of vocational education for the proper preparation of students for work in enterprises and an increase in the employment of graduates in the ICT industry as a forward-looking industry for the region and the Pomeranian Voivodeship. The aim of the project is to increase the attractiveness of the offer of Technikum No. 1 in. Wiesława Szajdy in Gdańsk as a result of the forecasted increase in demand for employees in the ICT industry. As a result of the project, Technikum No. 1 will have the opportunity to educate IT technicians and programmers at the appropriate level, corresponding to the standards and requirements of the modern labor market. The level of education will be adapted to regional and local needs in terms of the labour market and economy (including those related to Smart Specializations of Pomerania). The project is submitted under Measure 6.2 Infrastructure for inclusive and vocational education under the regional programme European Funds for Pomerania 2021-2027 - projects integrated with projects financed under Measure 5.8 General and vocational education. The project fits into the project type in accordance with the project selection regulations, i.e. "Purchase of durable equipment, including equipment, tools and teaching aids of existing vocational schools, furniture, in particular vocational training workshops, teaching laboratories, workshops and classrooms for practical apprenticeships". The project is an integrated project, complementary to the project under Measure 5.8. FEP General and vocational education call no. FEPM.05.08-IZ.00-002/23.
