The aim of the project is to implement the second edition of the Unicorn Hub Startup Platform project, which aims to support the development of innovative start-ups through a comprehensive incubation programme. The applicant and organiser of the Start-up Platform is the ‘OIC Poland’ Foundation, which has extensive experience in implementing projects in the area of start-up support, entrepreneurship and innovation. The Unicorn Hub platform, through a unique ecosystem involving cooperation between universities, VC funds, SMEs and large companies, IOBs and research units, provides support for start-ups in the development of innovative projects, with particular emphasis on the specialisation of medicine and health, interested in launching a business in Eastern Poland. The Unicorn Hub incubation programme provides for an individual and unique model of operation at two levels: a) design and operational (implementation of milestones, formal elements, documentation of cooperation, preparation of cyclical / final reports determining the progress of companies, etc.), b) substantive and development (development of the project and the project team, achieving subsequent versions of the product as a result of an iterative approach, experimenting and validating the product in a natural environment, application of methodologies supporting the development of projects such as Design thinking / doing, Human-centred design, Customer Development, approaches from the group: Agile/Lean, Pretotype (by Google), Business Model Canvas, Value Proposition Canva and others, and authoring tools and methodologies. Start-ups will undergo an incubation program lasting a maximum of 22 weeks (6 weeks and 16 weeks).
