Adaptation to climate change by reducing the vulnerability of the city of Busko-Zdrój to adverse weather events, taking into account low retention

The subject of the project is the implementation of coherent and integrated projects involving the comprehensive adaptation of the spa city Busko-Zdrój to extreme weather conditions through the development of green and green-blue infrastructure, rainwater and meltwater management, as well as the liquidation of the urban heat island on ul. It's a transverse one. The need for the implementation of the project stems from a survey of residents carried out in 2023, which forms the basis for the Diagnosis for the Climate Change Adaptation Plan for the city of Busko-Zdroj. The project aims to adapt the city of Busko-Zdrój to climate change by reducing vulnerability to adverse weather events, taking into account low retention by the end of 2026. -Development of technical documentation, Adaptation Plan to climate change for the city of Busko-Zdroj, Feasibility study, -Organization of rainwater management in the city of Busko-Zdroj, including small retention through the construction of rain gardens in the form of retention reservoirs. The action will involve the reconstruction and construction of a rainwater sewer collector in ul. Kusocińskiego, Uchnasta and Waryńskiego in Busko-Zdrój together with the construction of retention tanks for rainwater in Nowy Park Zdrój and the reconstruction of the rainwater sewer collector in the area of Lipowa and Rokosza streets in Busko-Zdrój together with the reconstruction of the recreational pond into a retention tank for rainwater with the Investor Supervision. -Elimination of the urban heat island and retention of rainwater in the area of ul. Crossroads in Busko-Zdrój. The action will include surface sealing and the construction of 4 rain gardens on ul. Over and over about OK. 140 m2; creation of 3 green stops on ul. Transverse - 3 pcs. of pergola over existing bus shelters with planting pots with vegetation; as well as the installation of 3 modular pots with benches on ul. Cross with vegetation and trees. -Development of green-blue infrastructure in the New Spa Park in Busko-Zdrój. The action includes the construction of pergolas-ok. 338 mb and installation of 3 benches with a pergola at the STATEK playground. -Information and promotion activities will be carried out on an ongoing basis on the website www.umig.busko.pl in the social media of the municipality. Information boards will be created and after the end of the project commemorative boards. We will purchase labeled information and promotional materials for publicity among residents. We will conduct 6 educational meetings x1.5 hours for 120 people. The Municipality of Busko-Zdrój selected the Contractor and commissioned the development of the MPA. We have design documentation for the above-mentioned ordering of rainwater management and submitted for a building permit. We have functional-utility concepts and programs at our disposal for: liquidation of the urban heat island and retention of rainwater in the area of ul. Transversal and development of green-blue infrastructure in New Park. We will use green procurement practices. The project will result in a reliable, sustainable, sustainable and stable infrastructure. The above-mentioned projects will prevent flooding, flooding and reduce their effects. The project will have a positive impact on improving the quality of the environment and mitigating climate change and adverse meteorological events, as well as on the quality of life of residents. During the project implementation, we will take into account environmental protection and resource efficiency requirements, implement integrated water resource management, preserve and develop green infrastructure - especially trees. The Municipality of Busko-Zdrój applies accessibility standards, in particular information, promotion and training. The above-mentioned activities are part of the main objective of the FEPW 2021-2027, Objective II of the FEPW Priority, as well as Objective 2.2. It fits in with the assumptions: Strategic Adaptation Plan for Climate-sensitive Sectors and Areas to 2020 with a 2030 Perspective (SPA 2020), Green State Policy 2030, National Energy and Climate Plan 2021-2030.
