The main goal of the project is to introduce sustainable mobility solutions in the CHOF area, aimed at developing sustainable urban mobility and at the same time contributing to reducing pollutant emissions, noise and improving the efficiency of movement within the CHOF area. The introduced solutions, environmentally friendly, will enable the efficient operation of the rolling stock of Chełm public transport - hydrogen buses. The planned project includes tasks, i.e. construction, reconstruction and modernization of infrastructure for urban transport and digitization of the mobility system in the city of Chełm. As part of the construction, reconstruction and modernisation of infrastructure for urban transport, the following will be carried out: - modernization of the depot, through, among others, the construction of buildings and infrastructure necessary to operate hydrogen buses, - construction of bus loops along with the construction of social rooms for drivers equipped with sanitary facilities (ul. Ceramic, ul. Karłowicz, ul. Zawadówka), - modernization of public transport stops, including: construction and reconstruction of parking bays, stop platforms, construction of green stops, replacement of stop shelters, - installation of green areas at bus stops. As part of the digitization of the mobility system in the city of Chełm, an extension of the Dynamic Passenger Information System will be carried out. In the project, most of the planned tasks take into account RES-based solutions, e.g. a photovoltaic installation will be made on the roofs of the bus depot buildings. In addition, RES-based solutions will be used in bus loops and bus shelters. The sheds will be equipped with photovoltaic panels. The project will result in the development of sustainable urban mobility in the PGI and greater use of public transport by its residents, who will be the main users of the project. The indicators are presented in paragraph . Indicators.
