The project provides for the implementation of 4 tasks: 1. Construction of a new section DW 865 Sobiecin – Koniaczów 2. Reconstruction and extension of DW 865 on the section Koniaczów – Zapałów 3. Reconstruction/extension of DW 865 from Zapałów to Oleszyce (Stage II Zapałów-Lipina) 4. Reconstruction and extension of DW 865 on the Oleszyce – Cieszanów section As a result of the task, a new section of the provincial road with a length of 2.23 km will be built and a section of the road with a length of 29.79 km will be rebuilt / expanded. After completion of the investment, all sections of the road in question will be characterised by the following parameters: class G, load capacity - 115 kN/axle, road width 7 m (2x3.5m). Task 1 includes the construction of a new section of DW 865 from km 1+946.48 to km 4+179.22 in Sobiecin and Koniaczów. The beginning of the road is at the point of connection with the investment carried out under the task ‘Construction of a new section of provincial road No 865 (...) from km 0+000.00 to km 1+946.48 together with the extension of the road junction along national road No 94 (Jaroslaw ring road) in km 8+411, construction of a bridge over the river San (...) in Munina and Sobiecin, among others’. The scope of the task includes, among others: - construction of a new section of the provincial road with a length of 2.23 km - construction of one-level intersections, including 1 roundabout - construction of an additional roadway to ensure transport accessibility - construction of bicycle and walking-bike paths along the entire section of the road - construction, reconstruction or securing of conflicting external infrastructure equipment. Task 2 includes the extension of DW 865 from Koniaczów to Zapałów (from km 5+469 to km 17+432). The scope of the task includes, among others: - extension of the 11.96 km section of the road - extension of intersections with inlets of other categories of roads, - demolition and construction of a new bridge in Ryszkowa Wola - construction/reconstruction of pavements and bus bays - construction of pedestrian-bicycle paths and bicycle paths along the road section - construction, reconstruction or protection of conflicting external infrastructure facilities. Task 3 includes the extension of DW 865 from m. Zapałów to m. Lipina (from km 17+432 to km 25+000). The scope of the task includes, among others: - extension of a section of road with a length of 7.57 km - reconstruction of the bridge on the r. Lubaczówka with the construction of a temporary bridge - reconstruction of bus bays - construction, reconstruction or protection of conflicting external infrastructure equipment. Task 4 includes the extension of DW 865 from Oleszyce to Cieszanów (from km 33+688.93 to km 43+947.31). The scope of the task includes, among others: - extension of the 10,26 km section of the road - reconstruction/extension/construction of intersections with sections of intersections - construction of additional carriageways - construction/reconstruction of bridges, engineering structures and culverts - construction/reconstruction of pavements and bus bays - construction of pedestrian-bicycle paths and bicycle paths on the 7,60 km section - construction, reconstruction or protection of conflicting external infrastructure facilities. The main users of the project will be residents of the districts of Jarosław and Lubaczów, entrepreneurs operating in this area, employees, suppliers, customers, as well as other road users from the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, and in particular its eastern parts. The implementation of the investment will lead to better communication of the eastern part of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship with the national road system, in particular with the A4 motorway, and thus will contribute to improving its transport accessibility. It will also significantly improve transport links with the Lubelskie Voivodship and facilitate access to border crossings with Ukraine. The road 865 under construction/extended under the project connects directly to the TEN-T network (the A4 motorway) via national road No 94 and the bridge over the river San in Jarosław, which is being built under a separate project. Section DW 865 is also part of the sustainable transport system – it is directly connected to other sustainable transport modes (fixed bus-rail offer).
