The subject of the implemented project includes the reconstruction of the water supply network in order to provide the residents of the Kobylanka Commune with the right amount and quality of water for consumption. The site of the project is located on Magellana Street in Kobylanka, where a section of the water supply network will be reconstructed for a length of 1 331.6 m. It is a section of the water supply system that supplies water from the water intake in Lipnik (deep water) to a significant part of the municipality (towns: Kobylanka, Motaniec, Reptowo, Bear). The existing water supply network was established in the mid-1980s and has not been modernized since then. The internal diameter of the water pipe is 150 mm and was adapted to the population of the time. For many years, however, the Kobylanka commune has recorded a positive migration balance. In 2000, it was inhabited by 3 117 people, in 2010 - 4 349 people, and in 2023 - 6 477 people, since the beginning of the century there has been more than a double increase in the number of inhabitants. From year to year, new residents are growing, new housing estates are being created (the Municipality spends about 200 building conditions every year). The existing water supply network (due to the lack of modernisation) currently does not have sufficient capacity. In addition, the water supply network becomes more and more exploited over time, through the accumulation of iron deposits on the surface of the pipe walls. As a result, its throughput decreases and there may be a problem with water quality when sediment breaks off as a result of hydraulic impacts. The need to rebuild the existing water supply network results from the requirement to provide residents of the Kobylanka Commune and companies located on its territory with the right amount and quality of water for consumption. The greatest demand for water occurs in the period of heat or drought, this is due in particular to the greater number of people staying in the Commune for leisure and recreation purposes. Water is used by residents for household needs, including drinking, preparing meals, personal hygiene, washing dishes, washing laundry, keeping rooms clean, flushing toilets, as well as watering home crops. Companies use water for domestic purposes, and in the case of livestock farms (e.g. numerous poultry farms in the Municipality) for watering animals, preparing food, keeping livestock rooms clean. Its provision is necessary for the continuation of business activity. In addition, water is used in public offices and institutions, as well as for fire protection and other purposes (e.g. construction works). In addition, the exclusion from operation of the pipeline running through areas intended for the development of single-family housing will allow the construction of dozens of single-family houses. The material scope of the project includes: 1. Execution of a complete construction and executive project for the reconstruction of the water supply system. 2. Preparation of the application for co-financing. 3. Construction works - reconstruction of the water supply network, including: a) earthworks (excavations, ballast, backfill, backfilling of excavations), b) controlled drilling (excavation-free overrunning of field obstacles), c) installation of pipelines (length - 1.331,6 m, including 400,1 m controlled drilling) - includes the replacement of the existing water supply network from AC pipes (asbestos-cement) with a diameter of 160 mm, with a new pressurized water supply network from PE-HD100RC type 2/3 polyethylene pipes, three-layer pressure class PN10 of the dimensional series SDR17 with a diameter of 225 mm, d) equipment of the water supply network, e) leak test (pressure), rinsing, disinfection. 4. Investor supervision - ensuring proper control over construction works. 5. Promotion of the project (information board - 2 pcs., subpage -1 pcs., social media profile -1 pcs., press articles). The project contributes to sustainable development, i.e. social progress, economic growth and respect for the environment.
