Revitalization of the area of public space and development of the downtown section of the Avenue of the Polish Army - stage II (Victory Square)

The investment is the second stage of the task entitled ‘Revitalisation of the area of public space and buildings of the downtown section of Al. The Polish army. This stage focuses on the creation of a transfer center within Pl. Victories in Szczecin, integrating the following means of transport: bus, tram, non-motorised transport (including city bike and electric scooters). Ultimately, the project will contribute to the improvement of the network of urban transport subsystems on the east-centre-west axis of the Szczecin communication system, strengthening the effects of consistency between the public infrastructure of the functional area of the city and the SOM. The SCOPE OF WORK consists of: a. redevelopment of track system from Pl. Port Gate to be included in ul. Krzywoustego (execution of a tram and bus lane); b. reconstruction of stop platforms at the entrance of the northern intersection of the Port Gate and construction of a new PAT stop on Pl. Victories before the intersection with al. Polish Army and ul. Curvy towards Pl. Kosciuszko; c. reconstruction of road surfaces and pavements, construction of bicycle paths d. removal of collisions with existing infrastructure; e. reconstruction/construction of traffic lights and introduction of new traffic organization; f. reconstruction of the tram overhead contact line and turnout control system; g. redevelopment of street lighting; h. the construction of a passenger information system; i. land development with elements of small architecture and planting trees and shrubs. STAGES OF THE PROJECT: 1) Selection of the Contractor of design documentation and construction works (performed): 3 kw. 2021; 2) Development of design documentation (executed): 3 kw. 2022; 3) Obtaining decisions authorising the execution of construction works (executed): 4 kw. 2022; 4) Commencement of construction works (executed): 4 kw. 2022; 5) Final acceptance of construction works (to be carried out): 3 kw. 2024; 6) Promotional activities (to be implemented): 2 – 3Q 2024; 7) Final settlement of the project (to be implemented): 3 kw. 2024 The project plans activities related to the information campaign promoting low-emission transport among residents of Szczecin and SOM and the promotion of the project under Article 50 of the Regulation. of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) No 2021/1060 of 24.06.2021, including: a. placing the signs of the European Funds, the colours of the Republic of Poland and the EU and the official promotional logo of the voivodeship in information publications on the project and documents made public; b. indication of the place of implementation of the project together with information on the co-financing of the project from EU sources by placing an information board, in accordance with the parameters set out in Annex IX to the above-mentioned Regulation. Regulations; c. include a description of the project, including its objectives and results, highlighting the fact that EU financial support has been received on the Applicant's website and on its social media page, including the use of the hashtags #EU Funds or #European Funds; d. keeping documentation to confirm the implementation of promotional activities carried out in the project. To sum up, the main objective of the project is to develop sustainable public transport and zero-emission mobility in the functional area of Szczecin. The objective of the project and the above-mentioned activities are in line with Measure 3.1 of the FEPZ in terms of: specific objective ERDF/CF.CP2.VIII: Established transfer center at pl. The winners will lead to support for sustainable multimodal urban mobility as part of the transition towards a zero-emission economy of the SOM area. (b) Project type 1: Project concerning a project for public transport in functional areas of cities, concerning the creation of a transfer centre connecting at least 3 means of transport. c) Results: - RCR064 Annual number of users of cycling infrastructure: 20,000 people. - RCR029 Estimated greenhouse gas emissions: 2,23 tonnes CO2-equivalent/year. The indicated results of the project will be achieved within 12 months after its completion.
