The aim of the project is to increase the availability of the Internet in the Ostrów district by building a broadband network in areas where access to the Internet is difficult and where a market failure or significant inequalities in terms of access to the network have been identified. The project will be implemented in both urban and rural areas and will involve localities in 7 municipalities: Nowe Skalmierzyce,Odolanów,Ostrów Wielkopolski, Przygodzice,Raszków,Sieroszewice,Sośnie. The project is in line with Priority I. Increasing access to ultra-fast broadband Internet Action: FERC.01.01 Enhancing access to ultra-fast broadband Actions: 1)Adaptation and use for the purpose of the project of existing OLT gpon units in the following localities: Ostrów Wlkp,Wysocko Wielkie,Nowe Skalmierzyce,Lewków,Odolanów,Raszków and the purchase and installation of three new OLT gpon units in the following locations:Sośnie,Czarnylas,Wielowieś. To connect the above-mentioned new OLT devices, gpon will be partly used by fiber optic fibers from the existing Promax fiber optic network, and partly from the newly built network.The planned bit rate to the raised OLT units (as well as those used for the existing ones) will be 10Gb/s. 2)Preparation of the PWR point (Ostrów, ul. Freedom 19), which will cover the entire competition area of the Ostrów County. 3)Construction of physical, passive single-mode fiber optic network. The project will cover broadband networks: Additional dwellings with broadband access to very high capacity networks -2095pcs Additional enterprises with broadband access to very high capacity networks -297pcs Additional address points with broadband access to very high capacity networks -1983pcs Number of access nodes -9pcs. The total length of the broadband network will be 429,144 km.
