NASK Cybersecurity Center [Acronym: CCN]

This project is a key element in strengthening the national cybersecurity system. It responds to a number of identified challenges and needs and the rapidly growing number of increasingly serious cyber threats and the resulting economic losses. A good illustration of these problems that you have to face is the CERT Polska Annual Activity Report. The security landscape of the Polish Internet’, available at: https://www.nask.pl/en/reports/reports/5203,Report-CERT-2022.html. It should also be added that these phenomena have not only increased after the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, but are increasingly taking new forms, such as linking cyberattacks with disinformation (see the report: https://www.nask.pl/en/reports/reports/5204,Report-quotInformation war-20222023-Mileage-and-requestsquot.html). The essence of the project is the creation of the NASK Cybersecurity Center (CCN). It will include qualitatively new thematic specialised centres, centres and laboratories relevant for strengthening the national cybersecurity system. The scope of the Project is as follows: TITLE 1: Establishment of the NASK CYBERSECURITY CENTER Sub-task 1 Establishment of the CCN facility Sub-task 2 Establishment of specialised centres, centres and laboratories - Establishment of the National Data Recovery Centre (KCOD) - Establishment of the National Cybersecurity Operation Centre (KCOC) - Establishment of the Cybersecurity Model Training and Training Centre (OSC) - Establishment of the AI Security Laboratory (AITAS) - Establishment of the Fuzzing and Malware Testing Laboratory (FUMAL) - Establishment of the National Security Support Centre for JST (KCWS) - Establishment of the Cybersecurity Certification Modelling Centre (OMCC) Sub-task 3 Development of the NASK PIB infrastructure operating for CSIRT NASK, including the update of processes and implementation of internal training implemented by NASK-PIB, as part of the implementation of the long-term vision for increasing the level of cybersecurity in the country, contained in the ‘Cybersecurity Strategy of the Republic of Poland for 2019-2024’ adopted in October 2019. This will increase the level of information security, by strengthening the resilience and ability to effectively prevent and respond to incidents in the information systems of the state and entities crucial for the economy. The project will be in line with the EU’s cybersecurity policy and the guidelines of the EU Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA). CCN is a project with a nationwide impact and the products produced under the project will be able to be used locally.
