As part of the project, a system for obtaining the location of the user contacting emergency numbers will be developed and implemented, based on data from the telecommunications terminal equipment (TTE). Advanced Mobile Location), hereinafter referred to as the AML Project. The AML system will use the built-in location functions of terminal equipment using the services of public mobile networks to transmit the location of the caller or SMS sender to the emergency services. Thanks to the high accuracy of the location obtained through the AML System, the activities of the services appointed to provide assistance in order to improve the safety of the population and the protection of property will be improved. Article 337 of the Law on Electronic Communications imposes the obligation to transmit the location after initiating contact to an emergency number. For calls initiated on public mobile telephone networks, the source of location should be data from the telecommunications network of operators of the public mobile telecommunications network (hereinafter: MNO) and data from the terminal equipment. Currently, in Poland, the possibility of sharing the location only on the basis of data from the MNO telecommunications network is implemented, which method of determining the location is much less accurate than determining the location based on data from the terminal device. The recipients of the project are: 1. Persons contacting emergency numbers; 2. Services appointed to provide assistance (dispatchers and rescue teams). The project objective thus defined fits directly into the specific objective of FERC Priority II, i.e. reaping the benefits of digitalisation for citizens, businesses, research organisations and public institutions, and within the scope of FERC activity 2.4 Cross-sectoral cooperation for digital solutions to socio-economic problems. The project is part of a project type aimed at developing and implementing digital solutions to socio-economic challenges. The AML project pursues the goal of developing cooperation for the creation of digital solutions to socio-economic problems. The AML system will use the built-in location features of terminal equipment using public mobile network services to transmit the location of the caller or SMS sender to the emergency services. Thanks to the high accuracy of the location obtained through the AML system, the activities of the services appointed to provide assistance to improve the safety of the population and the protection of property will be improved.
