I-D-EAA Academy. The EAA Directive in practice.

Persons with disabilities and other persons experiencing functional limitations shall have the right to enjoy on an equal basis with others physical environment, means of transport, information and communication and other facilities and services open or provided to the public. The abbreviation IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility) promotes business accessibility. I-D-EAA Academy combines IDEE and LAW, an opportunity for the private sector to: - implementing the idea of equality and inclusion, including the provisions of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, - increasing business awareness and competence on accessibility and disability/special needs, - adapting the scope and subject of services to the requirements of the Act on ensuring accessibility for persons with special needs and the EAA Directive. From auditing, through competence development, to consulting and implementation services, SENSE consulting [hereinafter SENSE] has institutional potential (on the market for over 15 years, it has been carrying out projects worth > PLN 6 million per year). Leader of AVAILABILITY training and advisory activities – since 2018 he has been running the Accessibility Centre, educating private and public organisations on accessibility, including legal issues, inclusiveness and diversity. In the last 5 years, it has implemented support for: >250 accessibility audits >4000 hours of training >12 000 hours of consulting >1000 entrepreneurs, entities of national and local administration, universities/education, hospitals/health units, cultural units. In 2021-2023, she carried out training and consulting tasks as part of the Available Design I (POWR.02.21.00-00-DO05/20) and II (POWR.02.21.00-00-DO04/21) projects commissioned by Concordia Design for DGA SA (Availability as a chance for development). In 2023, within 4 months, on behalf of KPRM, it carried out 8,000 hours of accessibility consulting. In 2024, it released Trendbook Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, which downloaded >1000 companies from all over Poland. Each month, he conducts trainings and meetings with self-advocates on accessibility and universal design as part of the "Availability has SENSE" and "InclusiON" cycles. 2 Partners were invited to the project (access criterion [KD] 9), whose total resources guarantee success: I. Wlkp Provincial Development and Promotion Fund SA [FRiP] - an entity established on the initiative of the Marshal of the Wlkp Province, providing assistance to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. In addition to his experience in granting de minimis aid, he is also an operator of the BUR (support for 1215 undertakings). II. TUS Foundation [TUS] - for 31 years has been working for the inclusion of people with disabilities and the accessibility of physical, social, legal, organizational and digital space. TUS conducts innovative projects related to the design of universal universal services (e.g. creating and running in Warsaw the first in Poland specialized transport for people with disabilities or the search engine www.niepelnosprawnik.pl). It is on the list of certification bodies under Article 15 of the Accessibility Act. Each partner is responsible for carrying out large projects co-financed from public funds. The main objective of the project is to raise awareness and competence in the field of: - changes in national legislation related to the implementation of the EAA Directive, - accessibility, including universal design of 1150 entrepreneurs and their employees from micro, small, medium or large enterprises [SMEs] in the period 1.01.2025-31.12.2027 through the implementation of training and advisory support. The project is nationwide. Planned RESULTS: min. 1035 female employees will obtain qualifications in the following areas: - accessibility, including universal design - changes in national legislation related to the transposition of the EAA Directive. This project will be implemented under tracks 1 and 2 (KD1) and their participants [OP] will receive the following support: 1. Active Recruitment 2. Implementation of training activities: path 1 (17h/os), path 2 (9h/os) 3. Implementation of advisory activities (a.k.a. 12h/person)
