NAWA Evaluator Academy – improving the recognition of education in higher education and science institutions

The main objective of the project is to improve the recognition of education (including automatic recognition). In order to fill skills gaps and provide qualified staff, it is necessary to equip people employed in POW with knowledge, skills and tools regarding the recognition of education, international qualifications of common and foreign education systems. The planned intervention will include: providing knowledge and skills in the field of verification and assessment of foreign documents and recognition of education, including international common qualifications (including joint diplomas) and foreign education systems; creating and developing tools that are carriers of knowledge in the field of recognition of education and foreign education and qualifications systems. The intervention will focus on the needs of people employed in POW, to whom people with foreign documents confirming obtaining education apply for recruitment for studies or for employment. Interventions (e.g. e-learning courses, educational and information materials available online) will indirectly benefit other entities involved in the recognition process, e.g. labour offices, provincial offices, authorities competent in regulated professions, employers as well as people who have completed education abroad and are looking for work in Poland. The target group of the project are people who work in POW and deal with the assessment of foreign educational documents. The indirect target group are other entities involved in the recognition process, e.g. labour offices, provincial offices, authorities competent in regulated professions, employers and people who have obtained education abroad and want to recognise it in Poland in order to continue their education or take up work. The main tasks of the project are: - organisation of at least 4 consultations to specify training needs; - organization of a series of at least 12 on-line trainings devoted to foreign education systems from different regions of the world, recognition of joint diplomas and recognition of refugee education; - at least 6 one-day or two-day in-person training courses organized in various regions of Poland on the evaluation of foreign educational documents, combined with workshops, and - at least 6 on-line specialist consultations with experts in the field of recognition of education and/or education systems in order to clarify difficult cases (training participants will be able to consult experts on cases from their own practice); - building an e-learning platform (there is no similar tool in Poland regarding the recognition of education), building a chatbot and a system for handling the mailing list. The main results of the project will be: 1) equipping people employed in POW with knowledge and practical skills in various areas of recognition of education, and thus improving the process of recognition of education (including automatic recognition of education) in Poland (in order to enable the use of training materials in the future, they will be made available on the e-learning platform); 2) creating opportunities for independent acquisition of basic knowledge in the field of educational recognition through the use of resources available on the e-learning platform (accessible to all interested parties); 3) improving communication with NAWA and exchanging information by creating a system for handling the mailing list and chatbot (available to all interested parties). The project is in line with the Charter of Fundamental Rights. Participants will be informed about the possibility of reporting non-compliance with the Charter of Fundamental Rights. The project is in line with the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Participants will be able to report to the ION/NCBiR suspicions of non-compliance of the project's activities with the Convention in an e-mail box prepared for this purpose by NAWA.
