Supporting the university's offer in the field of adult competence development through the NAVOICA platform

The aim of the project is to support the development of adult competences and the idea of lifelong learning. This goal will be achieved through the preparation of free MOOCs by universities and making them available to the whole society. These courses will be available in an asynchronous model on the NAVOICA educational platform, without a limit on the number of participants. As part of the project, a minimum of 150 MOOCs will be prepared and made available, which can be used in the process of e.g. retraining, supplementing competences or filling skills and knowledge gaps. The courses will comply with the WCAG 2.1/2.2 standard and the NAVOICA digital accessibility guidelines. A single course will be provided for a minimum of 20 hours of work of the participant or participant of the course. Course topics will respond to the needs of adults as non-standard recipients of higher education. It will include content in line with the diagnosed needs of employers and the labour market, which focuses on universities supporting the idea of lifelong learning and adapting to the needs of the development of the economy and the education of staff for the needs of the green and digital economy. Courses supporting the idea of lifelong learning and matching employers' expectations and supporting human resources education for the green and digital economy will contribute to improving knowledge and skills development in particular: engineering-technical, science and natural sciences, social, interdisciplinary - consistent with the scope of activity of a given university creating a course or series of courses. They will support, inter alia, reskilling, upskilling or skills gaps in line with labour market needs, as well as the transfer of knowledge and innovation between the actors of the higher education and science system and society through open access to the public of knowledge (including knowledge obtained as a result of research and research and development activities). The courses will be made available on the NAVOICA platform, which is an educational platform of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education with open courses offered by entities of the higher education and science system, scientific units and non-governmental organizations. Courses are available in asynchronous mode, with no limit on the number of participants. In accordance with the idea of open access to knowledge, the course can be attended by any interested person regardless of age or level of education. NAVOICA is the central Polish MOOC platform, which is used simultaneously by many entities (54 universities and institutions, as of January 2024), which is a space for sharing and promoting educational resources in one place. To date, more than 207,000 user accounts have been registered on the NAVOICA open access platform. The platform is subject to constant technological development financed by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and activities aimed at popularizing the idea of lifelong learning. The main tasks in the project are the announcement and recruitment of universities and the development by universities of substantive content up to at least 150 asynchronous e-learning courses for the NAVOICA platform, as well as the production, in close cooperation with the university, of courses from prepared substantive studies and the publication by the OPI (Information Processing Centre-PIB) of at least 150 asynchronous e-learning courses on the NAVOICA platform. The target group is described in the Target group section.
