International learning mobility of pupils, graduates and vocational training staff (VET-2)

The main objective of the project is to improve the professional competences or key competences of pupils and graduates of vocational schools and vocational education and training institutions, as well as representatives of staff, through participation in transnational mobility programmes implemented on the basis of the Erasmus+ programme. Current key competences that can be acquired or strengthened through the implementation of the project are: Competence to understand and produce information; competence in multilingualism; Mathematical, science, technology and engineering competences; digital competences; personal, social and learning competences; civic competence; Entrepreneurship competences; competence in cultural awareness and expression. The education process preparing young people for a given profession requires them to acquire knowledge, but above all to acquire the practical skills necessary to start working. The project will therefore bridge the gap between the knowledge and skills acquired by people at the initial stage of vocational education and the expectations of the labour market and potential employers through the implementation of internships and apprenticeships in foreign workplaces. It will also contribute to the personal development of participants and the development of competences, e.g. in the field of multilingualism, entrepreneurship or digital skills necessary in an ever-changing employment market. Thus, it will allow students and graduates to start working on the local, regional or even international market. Vocational training staff will be able to acquire new knowledge and skills in the context of the ever-changing level of teaching and exchange experiences with other vocational teachers and employers, vocational instructors in foreign workplaces and VET institutions, encouraging them to expand their knowledge and skills in the future. Educational establishments will strengthen the European dimension of education and modernise and improve the quality of education and training. The implementation of foreign mobility projects by sending institutions will be able to take several forms and be addressed to two target groups: A. learners – eligible participants are learners and apprentices in vocational education or training and continuing vocational education or training, as well as graduates who have completed a traineeship within 12 months of leaving school. Actions that can be supported are: • participation in vocational skills competitions (1 to 10 days), • short-term traineeships - short-term learning mobility of learners of 10 to 89 days (in justified cases for people with fewer opportunities it will be possible to organise mobility with a minimum duration of 2 days), • group student mobility (2 to 30 days), • long-term learning mobility of VET learners (90 to 365 days) B. VET staff - eligible participants are teachers, education or training providers and all other non-teaching experts and staff involved in VET and CET. Staff mobility can take the form of: • observation of work (lasting from 2 to 60 days), • trips for teaching or training (lasting from 2 to 365 days), • courses and training (lasting from 2 to 30 days). As a complement to physical mobility, all learner and staff mobility activities will be able to be combined with virtual activities (the minimum and maximum durations set out above apply to the physical mobility component).
