In addition, the Law of Dn. On 17 August 2023, on certain medical professions, hereinafter referred to as ‘the Act’, it introduces the right and obligation of continuous professional development, which can be implemented in the form of an improvement course. The main objective will be: 1) The organization of 667 improvement courses for 20 000 people performing the above-mentioned medical professions, in order to deepen and update the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out professional activities as part of the continuous professional development of medical personnel carried out in accordance with the statutory obligation. 2) Providing professional training materials in the form of scripts. 3) Co-financing of travel expenses for participants of courses. 4) Special support will be provided to visually impaired persons practising the profession of masseur technician - 63 courses are planned for approx. 1008 people. It is planned to train professionals in relevant, specific issues for a given professional group, taking into account issues arising from the identified epidemiological and demographic needs of Poland. This will translate into an improvement in the quality of health services provided and the quality and efficiency of the health care system. The obligation to constantly update knowledge is necessary in the context of medical issues, where there is a constant development of medicine. In addition, the Act introduced the obligation of continuous professional development and obliges medical professionals to continue their professional development during the 5-year educational period, which starts from 2025. Persons pursuing the professions covered by the project have so far not been covered by the legal regulations on continuous professional development. Thanks to the project, medical staff will be able to carry out training courses free of charge, in accordance with the statutory obligation of professional development. Course programmes will be geared towards updating knowledge in areas relevant to the current and projected challenges of the health system. As the population ages, it will be necessary to provide care to an increasingly numerous and ill group of Poles. Broad information about the courses will be on the CMKP website www.cmkp.edu.pl, in the description of the implemented project as well as in the tab dedicated to courses.
