OBJECTIVE: By IX.2027, increase the University's accessibility for people with special needs, including disabilities, in a way that allows them to use the University's resources on an equal basis, by implementing a comprehensive support program within 8 areas of accessibility, resulting in a lasting change in the functioning of the University, taking into account the specific needs of people with different types of disabilities. JUSTIFICATION OF THE NEED FOR IMPLEMENTATION: The conditions of education of students (STUD.) with disabilities at the University are changing for the better, but the diagnosis shows that the pace and scope of the changes introduced is still assessed as insufficient. In order to maintain a positive trend, increase the University's openness and create a true level playing field for people with special needs, including disabilities (UzNiSP), it is necessary to improve the architectural, communication and educational conditions, but also to overcome the remaining mental barriers in the academic community. On the basis of the assessment of the University's accessibility (self-assessment card-analysis of the Plenipotentiary for University Accessibility for OzNiSP of XI.2023, consulted with the OzN community (didacticians, students) and works.Poradni Pedagog.-Psychol., Centre for Modern Education SCHOLAR-entities cooperating with the University in the project) - to implement RECOMMENDED ACTIONS, HAVING THE PURPOSE: 1) Adaptation of organizational solutions, internal laws and procedures, ensuring the improvement of accessibility standards in the following areas: architectural, inf.-communication, digital, educational and administrative; 2)Organization of technological/digital facilities supporting OzNiSP (Virtual Assistant, E-communicator, Virtual University Guide, extensive system of digital resources repository, adapted e-learning platform);3)Elevation of elevators in 2 didactic-admin buildings along with equipping all buildings of the University with navigation systems, supporting OzN eyesight in navigating the academic space;4)Increasing safety and mobility standards of OzNiSP by installing a sound system for evacuation and purchase of dedicated equipment; 5)Adaptation to the needs of the OzN audio-visual system of rooms;7)Equipment of 3 computer labs and the Physical Education Center with sports and rehabilitation equipment;8)Introduction of audio description functions for film materials placed on the Internet website. Universities;9)Realization of awareness and specialist training for employees. Activities result from the diagnosed needs of the University, are in accordance with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the Act of 19.VII.2019 on ensuring accessibility for people with particular needs, the Act of 4.IV.2019 on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities, the Act of 20.VII.2018 on higher education and science, the Constitution of the Republic of Poland, accessibility standards for cohesion policy 2021-2027. The project will include comprehensive activities within the development path, leading to the greatest possible accessibility of the university, taking into account all aspects of its functioning. EFFECT: As a result of the project, the university will develop a stable, efficient and durable support structure for people with particular needs, including disabilities, which will guarantee the provision of services during the project implementation and after its completion. There will be an increase in the broadly understood accessibility of the university for people with particular needs resulting from the state of health (including OZN) - studying, working, cooperating or using the university's offer. All activities will be carried out in a reliable manner, with the widest possible application of the principles of universal design, respect for applicable law and in cooperation and taking into account the opinion of the accessibility unit, the indicated entities cooperating with the University and the recipients of activities - NSAs, at each stage.
