The University of Health in Gdańsk [WSZ], in response to the growing number of candidates for studies who are persons with disabilities [OzN] or special needs [OzSP], and then students [S] who are OzN and/or OzSP, decided to continue the project ‘Accessible University’ (A041/21) implemented in the MINI track (01.2022-10.2023). WSZ is a non-public university that conducts courses with a practical profile and offers S gaining education in medical and peri-medical professions: nursing, physiotherapy, dietetics, psychology, cosmetology, public health. It is open to accepting people with different health conditions. Between 2022/23 she trained 2695 S (2206K/489M), of which 45 (37K/8M) were OzN. In addition, it is estimated that up to 10% of S has special needs not confirmed by the judgment. Therefore, WSZ expands its support for NSAs/NSAs and takes measures to maintain the sustainability of solutions. Currently, the university building is in a basic way adapted to the needs of people with physical disabilities (elevator, driveways, door width). The accessibility of the recruitment process has been improved and a catalogue of support for persons with disabilities has been prepared. In order to support itself with expert experience, WSZ invited the Perseus Foundation [FP] (description: potential) to jointly implement the P in order to benefit from its experience and knowledge (description: the human resources potential). Health professions have potential for NSAs and TSOs through the gradual digitalisation of eHealth processes. This P is complementary to the P submitted in the ‘Education for the Economy’ competition. It will expand the university's resources towards the implementation of universal design [PU in teaching (UDL), will allow the use of modern methods of education and will increase the availability of practical classes for all S.
