"University without barriers II - increasing the availability of the Pontifical University of John Paul II in Krakow"

The aim of the project is to provide people with special needs, including OzN, with the opportunity to take advantage of the offer of higher education. The planned activities lead to the achievement of accessibility of the university for all stakeholders of the university - students, including the third century, doctoral students, employees and entities from the external environment, and may also affect the choice of the university by future students. Accessibility will be achieved through the implementation of actions leading to the fulfilment of the requirements set out for the Development+ track, within all the areas described in doc. Description of the Development+ track (KD5) and the implementation of changes in the defined accessibility areas. When preparing for the implementation of the project on the basis of the self-assessment card, a summary of the state of availability resulting from the implementation of the project in the OP KED was made, as well as ongoing activities were planned, the aim of which is to ensure the availability of the higher education process for people with real needs, including OzN. (KD4). As part of the project, which will last 48 months (KD7), and the funding will not exceed PLN 8 million (KD6), it is planned, among others - changes in the organizational structure and reorganization and extension of the Interdisciplinary Counselling Centre and thanks to the involvement of a wide range of specialists, providing comprehensive psychological and pedagogical support and specialization in relation to accessibility - audits of the university in all areas of accessibility indicating barriers and necessary activities in order to provide the university with the needs of the NSA and the needs - review and update in terms of ensuring the availability of applicable regulations, procedures and orders - purchase of specialist equipment and equipment supporting the NSA - purchase and implementation of IT systems facilitating the processes in relation to the functioning of the university - disability awareness training for university staff and student representatives. The applicant is an entity entitled to apply for funding in the call, i.e. it is not in the process of liquidation and the minister competent for higher education has not been asked for permission to liquidate, the minister competent for higher education has not announced information about the suspension of the university's right to conduct studies (KD1). The university implemented the project POWR.03.05.00-IP.08-00-DOS/19, midi path (KD2), in the competition submits 1 project (KD3). The project will be implemented in partnership with the Institute for Regional Development Foundation (FIRR) – the partner was selected in accordance with Art. 4 of DN. 28.04. 2022 on the rules for the implementation of EU-funded tasks in the 2021-2027 financial perspective (KM2). The partnership defined the division of tasks, taking into account the active role of the partner in the areas of project implementation regarding the development of the concept and substantive assumptions of training, recruitment of the Public Prosecutor's Office, consultations and opinions on substantive activities, maintaining the durability of the project. Establishing a Partnership with FIRR guarantees the achievement of synergy effect in the project due to the extensive knowledge on policy making and implementation of solutions related to accessibility in higher education entities. The potential of the PCA II in the above-mentioned scope is not sufficient to achieve the assumed results of the project. The indicated connection and cooperation between entities on the indicated levels creates synergy effect and will enable efficient implementation of the project and achieving the objectives
