Systematic training of digital accessibility professionals

Objective of the project: Increase in the period 01.04.2024-31.03.2028r. the number of educated specialists in digital accessibility by training min. 2200 UP in the area of digital accessibility and preparing them to proceed to validation in a selected free market qualification in the field of digital accessibility. Main results to be achieved through the implementation of the project: The achievement of the project headline target will contribute to the achievement of the specific objective of the EERS, i.e. objective ESO4.8, by increasing the degree of digital inclusion, in particular of groups with special needs. By increasing the supply of skilled digital accessibility staff through the activities planned in the project aimed at obtaining market qualifications related to digital accessibility by employees of public entities, representatives of NGOs and social partners, as well as graduates of secondary schools, it will be possible to reduce barriers to accessing digital content and resources, and thus increase their use by all groups of users. Participation in the project will also allow the public to develop awareness, knowledge and understanding of digital accessibility. The actions implemented in the project will contribute in the long term to reducing the phenomenon of digital exclusion, while leading to increased social inclusion and improved social capital. The main tasks that will be carried out as part of the project. The project will implement training activities related to digital accessibility. The recruited 2200 people will acquire detailed knowledge on the subject, and 1760 of them will obtain professional qualifications in this field. In addition, materials containing training programs will be created, which can later be used also outside the project. Studies and analyses of educational needs will be carried out, in the field of digital accessibility, project participants (UP), as well as, after the end of the project, research on their situation. The project will primarily allow to increase the number of educated specialists in the field of digital accessibility. The long-term effects of the project will contribute to increasing the digital accessibility of online resources and content, and thus to increasing their use by all user groups. The project will be implemented in the period 01.04.2024-31.03.2028 throughout Poland by Partners - Ministry of Digitization (Applicant) and Certes Sp. z o.o. (Partner). Thanks to participation in the UP project, they will learn, among others, to create and customize websites and mobile applications in accordance with the WCAG accessibility standard, audit websites in accordance with the WCAG accessibility standard, organize and coordinate the work of users-testers with disabilities as part of the study of the accessibility and usability of websites, mobile applications, digital documents and audit digital documents based on the WCAG standard. In order to confirm the acquired skills and knowledge, UPs will proceed to validate the acquired learning outcomes at the end of the training cycle. A positive result of the validation will be confirmation of obtaining certain free market qualifications in the area of digital accessibility (according to the ISK).
