Demographic processes in Europe result in an increased participation of older people in society. Also in Poland according to The GUS demographic ageing rate (approx. people aged 65+ and more to the total population) will increase from the current 19.5% (end of 2022) to 32.6% in 2060. At the same time, the working-age population will fall to 17 million in 2050 and then to 15 million in 2060, compared to 22 million in 2022 and an expected 21.7 million in 2025. The shrinking workforce makes it important to encourage longer working lives. The problem was recognised by the European social partners, who concluded an autonomous framework on active ageing and intergenerational approaches on 8 March 2017. It was an inspiration for Polish social partners, who on 8 June 2020 concluded the Agreement of Employees and Employers of the RDS for Active Ageing, in which they emphasize the importance of encouraging enterprises to adapt the organization of work also to the needs of older workers. and such personnel management to effectively support the employment conditions of older workers, well manage their skills and competences and create conditions conducive to maintaining health both at work and outside, which will allow them to extend their professional activity. From the perspective of an employee-senior, this is an advantage, because it gives financial security, translates into a longer life in better health and stimulates social activity of a person. From the economic perspective, it allows to better use the potential of this social group, which, while continuing to work, generates GDP, feeds the public finance system through paid tributes and reduces the labour market deficit. Actions for active ageing, aimed at enabling employees to remain healthy and active until at least the legal retirement age, as well as promoting a culture of commitment and respect in every workplace where all employees, regardless of their age, are valued, are among the statutory tasks of the Solidarity Trade Union. The applicant is also one of the signatories to the agreement. Due to the pandemic, its implementation slowed down. It is worth returning to these recommendations and at the same time detailing them. In order to effectively carry out tasks in this area, in response to the needs raised by the member structures, the Association initiated this partnership project with the Social Academy of Sciences (SAN). The main goal is to develop recommendations for the implementation of healthy and active ageing packages based on research, which will take into account the specificity of work performance in selected industries. As part of the project, research will be carried out on existing studies in the field of healthy and active ageing of employees / cheques, solutions and practices used in enterprises to maintain the professional activity of wasps. 50-64 years, taking into account industry and regional specificities (Zad.1). Work surveys will then be carried out. 50-64 years (500 pers.) and group interviews (48 pers.) (Zad.2). After analyzing the results of the research, packages of recommendations will be developed - 1 for each of the 3 surveyed industries (Zad 3). The next step is to pilot recommendations in a selected company, thanks to which it will be possible to prepare the final form of recommendations for a given industry (Zad.4). The project also provides for a number of educational and dissemination activities, in order to disseminate research results among industries and build understanding for activities aimed at maintaining health and activity at work (Zad.5). The association itself does not have the scientific potential necessary for such an ambitious plan and therefore a partnership with SAN has been initiated, which will be responsible for the implementation and quality of research work. The applicant will complement the research and piloting team with experts in dial. society and the work stack, as well as dial. autonomy and the shape of the work, taking into account the specificity of the industries studied.
