Digitalisation is a process that is gaining in importance worldwide in virtually all sectors. Businesses and organisations are implementing modern digital technologies, changing the way they operate, communicate and deliver services. Digital transformation increases the efficiency of processes, saves time and resources, improves the quality of life of citizens, entails a change in organizational culture and at the same time becomes a driver of innovation for many companies and a key factor in maintaining competitiveness. The report ‘Business Digital Transformation Monitor’ (KPMG and Microsoft, 2024) shows that in Poland 1/3 of companies plan to increase spending on digital transformation, 30% use AI-based tools and 30% plan to implement them within a year. Digitalisation is having an increasing impact on the labour market by changing the e-competence profile of workers. Meanwhile, the social partners face difficulties in effectively engaging in the monitoring of digitisation processes. The development of technology requires the development of knowledge and skills among employees and representatives of NSZZ ‘S’. The lack of digital skills, limited financial resources and resistance to change are also challenges. The annual survey of digital competences of citizens conducted by the Digital Poland Foundation shows that educational initiatives are much needed to improve knowledge and IT skills regardless of age. In this respect, Poland occupies one of the last places in the EU as a whole (DESI Index, 2022 data). Areas requiring particular attention, in the context of increasing digitalisation, are skills in cybersecurity, network security, data use, eGovernment services for the public and entities, or electronic information exchange systems. Studies conducted among the representatives/doctors of the NSZZ "S" structures indicate that for effective social dialogue in the face of the challenges of digital transformation, it is necessary to increase the competences of the NSZZ "S" representatives. The project will focus on improving the competences of NSZZ ‘S’ activists, acting as trade union treasurers in small and medium-sized company organisations (SMEs), i.e. associating up to 100 members. In Poland, there are 5039 MiŚOZ NSZZ ‘S’, where often the functions of SZ are performed by people who are not prepared for this and do not have the appropriate competences of digits, e.g. handling spreadsheets or electronic exchange of infor. At the same time, they are not able to finance such training for their representatives on their own. These are people who should be supported in the first place. The Association, as a nationwide organization, through its regional structures in which individual CMEs are registered, provides new CMEs with training on accounting knowledge. Thanks to the implementation of this project, some of them will also be supported to increase the competences of digits necessary to perform the function of the MCS. In view of the limited resources, 120 people will be supported, of which 96 will increase their competences. Head of Action: Developing a digital competency profile. MCS, examination of MCS competences, preparation and implementation of trainings to fill the identified competence gaps - the part dedicated to spreadsheets will be on-line; organization of a seminar of practitioners in order to summarize the training cycle and its effects and discuss the key aspects of the activities of the Treasurer of the organization. The applicant undertakes to comply with the horizontal principles, including: DNSH, equal opportunities and non-discrimination, accessibility for persons with disabilities, equality between K and M, sustainable development. At the stage of preparing the proposal, equality barriers in the thematic area of the intervention or the scope of the project's impact were not diagnosed. If they occur during the implementation of the project, appropriate intervention measures will be taken.
