The project concerns the protection of nature and support for the development of biodiversity in the Silesian Park in Chorzów along with the implementation of an information and education campaign increasing the level of ecological awareness. The project will be implemented through the implementation of the following tasks: - activities in the field of nature protection and support for the development of biodiversity, including ecosystems, i.e.: forest and water ecosystem, - creation through reconstruction of the Park Biodiversity Center with the necessary infrastructure and equipment, - carrying out an information and educational campaign increasing the level of ecological awareness. The implementation of the project will contribute to the creation of environmentally valuable places with limited human availability, devoted mainly to nature and places that will provide a "journey to biodiversity" by visiting dispersed places (ecosystems, habitats) connected by zero-emission forms of communication, including walking and cycling, taking into account the possibility of using surfaces that meet the requirements of "green infrastructure", and thus "journeying" after various activities (including protective, educational), giving cognitive and aesthetic experience and experience of living laboratories. The applicant will carry out information and promotion activities in accordance with the requirements of the General Regulation, the Guidelines on information and promotion of European funds for 2021-2027 and in accordance with the Visual Identity Book of the European Funds 2021-2027 brand. As part of the project, it is planned to: - installation of 2 information and commemorative plaques (one will be mounted on the building being the seat of the company, the second on the building of the newly created Park Biodiversity Center). - organization of two press conferences - the first at the beginning of the investment and the second at the end of the investment. Representatives of the Management Board of the Silesian Voivodeship and the European Commission will be invited to participate in these events.
