The subject of the project is the functional and territorial expansion of the existing Intelligent Transport System in the City of Bielsko-Biała, which will contribute to the improvement of traffic in both the public and individual transport segments. The project includes, among others, the development of subsystems: traffic management and priorities for public transport, city monitoring, dynamic passenger information and dynamic driver information. The project also provides for the construction of a meteorological information and air quality subsystem, as well as the construction of missing sections of the fiber optic network. The traffic lights planned for inclusion in the ITS system will be modernised and the central system will be extended, i.e. the platform integrating and ensuring the cooperation of all listed ITS subsystems. In addition, the project envisages the purchase of a mobile transport management centre, the construction of a green stop and an information and education campaign raising awareness in the field of promoting the use of low-emission public transport and non-motorised traffic. The main objective of the project is to reduce pollution by introducing intelligent transport management solutions, with an emphasis on improving public transport functioning in the City, as well as increasing the temporary competitiveness of public and individual non-motorized transport. The project will allow the development of the existing intelligent traffic management system with new elements, thanks to which, in addition to traffic improvement, ongoing traffic research and communication needs and behaviors can be carried out. The completed infrastructure will create a unified information and management system using modern technologies. The promotion of the project will consist in the purchase and installation of an information board, which will be placed in the location of the project. The plaque will be displayed throughout the implementation of the project until the end of the sustainability of the project. It will be made of durable materials, which will ensure its strength and good technical condition throughout the life of the project. The location and appearance of the board will be in accordance with the Manual of the applicant and beneficiary of European Funds for 2021-2027 in the field of information and promotion. All information and promotion activities related to the project and documents and materials related to the implementation of the project will be marked with the signs of the European Funds, the colours of the Republic of Poland, the European Union and the graphic sign of the Silesian Voivodeship. All equipment purchased as part of the project will be marked in accordance with the rules on promotion.
