A 3631 m long section from the bridge over the river Ruda to the border of the City of Rybnik with the Commune of Czerwionka-Leszczyny is planned for reconstruction. The investment was divided into two stages: - stage I covering the reconstruction of 2 engineering structures (the bridge over the Ruda River and the viaduct over the closed railway line) - stage II covering the reconstruction of the road with associated infrastructure, including, inter alia, construction of road drainage, construction of bicycle infrastructure along the entire section, reconstruction and construction of pavements, reconstruction and construction of lighting, reconstruction of public transport stops, construction and reconstruction of traffic lights at 2 intersections The main objective of the investment is to improve accessibility to an important element of the TEN-T network, i.e. the A1 motorway, and the specific objectives are, inter alia: - improving road conditions and safety by obtaining main road parameters, construction of bus bays, construction of a bicycle road, construction of pavements - increasing the load capacity of the surface to 115 kN/axle - protecting the natural environment by reducing acoustic impact, emissions of pollutants into the air and ordering the management of rainwater and meltwater - increasing the attractiveness of economic zones located along ul. Mikołowska in Rybnik - improving the quality of communication on the Rybnik axis (western subregion) - GZM Metropolis (central subregion) Information and promotion activities will be carried out from the moment of receiving co-financing, i.e. signing the co-financing agreement, on the basis of the principles described in the "Manual of the applicant and beneficiary of European funds for 2021-2027 in the field of Information and Promotion" and the "Guide for beneficiaries of the FE SL 2021-2027" . The planned information and promotion activities will also meet the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2021/1060 of the European Parliament and of the Council (including for projects above EUR 10 million). As part of the measures, it is primarily planned to place a permanent information and/or commemorative plaque in a visible place at the beginning and end of the reconstructed section. In addition, it is planned to mark all documents related to the implementation of the project accordingly. Information about the project will also be available on the website of the City of Rybnik meeting the MA’s requirements, as well as on social media. In addition, as the total cost of the project exceeds EUR 10 million, the applicant will organise an information and promotion event (press conference) at the end of the project, to which representatives of the Commission and the MA will be invited. https://www.rybnik.eu/city/EU funds/
