DiagMedFarm Centre for Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Sosnowiec.

The project concerns the creation of the ‘DiagMedFarm Centre for Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Sosnowiec’, i.e. modern, specialised scientific and research laboratories. The planned investment is a priority project included in the Programme Contract for the Silesian Voivodeship, aimed at creating a modern research unit in the field of medicine and pharmacy. As a result of the investment, three scientific laboratories will be created, equipped with specialized equipment, located in a total of thirteen laboratories. The resulting scientific base will be the basis for conducting research and development, in which the aim will be to develop specialized concepts in the field of medicine, pharmacy and biotechnology, as well as solutions important in the context of environmental protection. Research will be conducted on the synthesis, analysis and evaluation of biological activity of drugs and cosmetic products. The project will contribute to the development of smart specializations of the region in the field of medicine. The investment will enable the transfer to the economy of the results of research and development (R&D) in the field of medicinal and cosmetic substances, their technologies, as well as pharmaceutical forms. In addition, the project plays an important role in the development of the competences of the scientific staff and promotes the effective use of innovative solutions, including through cooperation with the private health care sector and suppliers of medical devices. Thanks to the acquired equipment, it will be possible to conduct scientific research and development works for various entities from the Silesian Voivodeship, which in turn is to provide an impulse for the development of modern biotechnological and pharmaceutical companies, changing post-industrial structures in the Silesian-Dabrowskie region.
