The implementation of the project will constitute an investment in the development and implementation of innovative potential, which will contribute to changing the profile of the economy of mining subregions and the development of new innovative industries. These measures will prevent the migration of people, especially highly qualified people, seeking employment in other regions, by creating new, future-oriented, stable jobs. The creation of the Center for Technology and Computational Sciences in Katowice will allow to address new, dynamically changing needs of enterprises, and thus contribute to the achievement of the goals set in the SRW and RIS. As part of the project, it is planned to purchase state-of-the-art research equipment enabling research in the areas of interest of enterprises, which will, in particular, allow to create new solutions in the field of algorithmic solutions, allowing to effectively take up challenges and solve problems with a level of complexity drastically higher than currently possible using today's computer technologies. The implementation of the project will not only increase the research potential of the Silesian University of Technology, but will also increase the research potential of other public and private entities in the province by making the infrastructure available to other entities.
