The project ‘Bet on RES – development of distributed energy based on renewable energy sources in the Tychy and Wyry Partner Municipalities’ is implemented in a partnership between the municipalities of Tychy and Wyry. It includes two tasks: 1. granting grants for the purchase, supply and installation of RES installations generating heat and electricity for social and living needs, 2. educational campaign - organizing consulting, lectures, competitions, construction of small-scale RES (demonstration) architecture, pro-ecological activities - addressed to Grantees (transfer to plant an oxygen tree and/or planting a composter). The project provides for 1370 RES installations co-financed under grants, including 495 pcs. of air heat pumps for hot water and hot water, 875 pcs. of photovoltaic installations, as well as 685 pcs. of electricity storage. The implementation of the project will contribute to the creation of photovoltaic installations with a total capacity of at least 5.86 MW and air heat pumps for hot water and hot water with a total capacity of at least 4.95 MW. The project will result in a reduction in CO2 emissions of at least 5924,6871 tonnes CO2-equivalent/year. In addition, 6 photovoltaic benches will be created. The project is a response to the problems of the Silesian Voivodeship identified in the Silesian Development Strategy "Śląskie 2030" Zielone Śląskie. It was pointed out that the main cause of poor air quality is emissions from individual heating of residential buildings, and improving air quality is a key challenge for the voivodship. The project responds to the challenges faced by municipalities: socio-economic functions, with environmental problems, in the mining transition, for which the challenge is to focus support on improving the quality of the environment. The development of distributed energy will contribute to improving the air quality of the Tychy subregion, increasing the share of renewable energy in the overall energy balance of municipalities, reducing pollution, improving the health and economic situation of residents. Information and promotion activities will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Guide for Applicants and Beneficiaries of European Funds for 2021-2027 in the field of Information and Promotion and the Guide for Beneficiaries of FE SL 2021-2027. Beneficiary, at least: - will include signs: European Funds, the colours of the Republic of Poland and the European Union and the coat of arms of the voivodship on all e-publications, brochures, publications, websites, newsletters, mailings, film materials and any other promotional, informational and project documents that will be made public, - will provide stickers for marking installed RES installations, - will mark the places of project implementation by placing 2 information boards (Beneficiary in the municipality of Tychy, Partner in the municipality of Wyry) , immediately after the start of the physical implementation of the project, in publicly accessible places, - will place a description of the project on the official website of both Partners, - will place a description of the project on social media, - will organize an event or information and promotional action (e.g. press conference, event promoting the project) at the important moment of starting the project implementation or its important stage.
