The project aims to strive for energy self-sufficiency of the company, improve air quality in the region and reduce the amount of sewage sludge generated on the site of the sewage treatment plant. It includes the construction of a new WKF with an engine room in the place of the existing OKF and the expansion of the sludge treatment node, with a collection point for incoming sludge along with a pumping station and a reservoir for incoming sludge, the installation of a new excess sludge thickener and sludge centrifuge in the existing operating building. As part of the expansion, it is also planned to build a new reservoir of fermented sludge and additional facilities in the biogas treatment node (desulfurization, dehumidification, siloxane reduction, etc.). In addition, the necessary modernisation of the power system was included, including the construction of a new cogeneration unit in a new building, the replacement of existing cogeneration units, the construction of a waste heat buffer and the adaptation of the remaining accompanying infrastructure. Information and promotion activities will be carried out in accordance with the Manual of the applicant and beneficiary of European Funds for 2021-2027 in the field of information and promotion. The applicant will mark the locations of the project with information boards - 1 pcs. in the location of the investment: ul. Gen. Władysław Sikorski in Radzionków. On the Applicant's official website, bpk.pl will be created a subpage related to the construction of a biogas installation, which will contain general information about the project, as well as current news related to its implementation. In addition, information about the project and current news related to its implementation will also appear on the applicant's social media. A final conference will be held at the end of the project.
