The project involves the installation of renewable energy installations on selected single-family residential buildings located in the City of Ruda Śląska. The project is a continuation of the city's policy aimed at increasing the production of energy from renewable sources and improving air quality. The storage capacity will be adjusted to the power of the individually selected PV installation. The investment is the fourth stage of the project implemented by the applicant in the ‘solar municipalities’ formula. In three stages completed so far, a total of 394 RES installations have been completed. The project is a response to diagnosed problems related to the occurrence of exceedances of limit values of harmful substances in the city, among others. PM10, PM2,5 and benz(a)pyrene. The implementation of 154 photovoltaic installations will make it possible to produce ‘green’ energy of 596,2856 MWh per year. The production of clean energy will avoid CO2 emissions of 422,1702 tonnes each year. The city will implement information and promotion activities in accordance with the requirements of the General Regulation, the Guidelines on information and promotion of cohesion policy operational programmes for 2021-2027 and in accordance with the Visual Identity Book of the European Funds 2021-2027 brand. As required, each installation will be marked with a promotional sticker. In addition, the project will be promoted on the city's website. In accordance with the provisions of the ‘Handbook on information and publicity for the applicant and beneficiary of European Funds 2021-2027’ (point 11), the official website on which the information on publicity will be displayed will be maintained until the end of the project. https://www.rudaslaska.pl/
