The project includes the comprehensive construction of a photovoltaic farm with a capacity of less than 1MW in the area of ul. Henry Krupank and the West. The main goal of the project is to increase the level of production of energy from renewable sources and reduce low emissions in the city. Diversification of sources of electricity generation and reduction of emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere are one of the key challenges in communes in the mining transformation. An additional improvement in the functioning of the photovoltaic installation will be the use of an energy management system and an energy production monitoring system in the project, as well as the installation of an energy storage facility. For security reasons, the project also provides for the construction of a fence for photovoltaic modules, lighting of the farm area, as well as the implementation of a video monitoring system with access control at the entrances to the farm. The actual implementation of the task in the form of the construction of a new RES installation will enable the achievement of ecological and energy efficiency indicators, defined in the application for co-financing. The photovoltaic installation will operate in an on-grid system on the basis of a virtual prosumer, with the purpose of allocating the produced electricity to power urban lighting. The project is addressed mainly to the inhabitants of Siemianowice Śląskie. In order to increase the impact of the project and maximize its effects in the area of renewable energy sources and improve the quality of the environment in the region, the project includes activities in the field of promotion and awareness-raising in the field of RES. After signing the grant agreement, the applicant will carry out the necessary information and promotion activities in accordance with the provisions of the "Manual of the applicant and beneficiary of European Funds for 2021-2027 in the field of information and promotion", with particular emphasis on the following: - installation of an information board of the place of project implementation, - placement of the project description on the Applicant's website (address in field B.2.2), - placement of the project description on the Applicant's social media, - marking the meetings carried out as part of the project (e.g. lectures) taking into account the indications in the "Applicant's Handbook (...)", - placement of an article on the obtained funding and the implemented project on the website and in the Siemianowice Local Government Gazeta "Głos Miasta", - placement of graphic signs on documents and materials related to the implementation of the project, taking into account the indications in the "Applicant's Handbook (...)".
