Reclamation for natural purposes of the area of the former Grodziec Cement Plant in Będzin

The project is implemented in the post-mining and post-industrial district of Będzin - Grodziec, the largest unit of the city, the hardest hit by the effects of the transformation. Abandoned for 45 years, the cement plant, thanks to JTF projects, has a chance to once again become a center of local life and an area rich in nature. The project, which covers an area of 2,6726 hectares, includes activities related to the transformation of a degraded and threatening area around the historic site into a green area: - demolition of elements threatening users: buildings, remains of ruins and concrete pavements (technological roads, platforms, platforms, adjustables, bridges, walls, etc.) - securing the ruins of the historic complex in the area of the project as an unusual trajectory, climbing structures, masonry plants, rocks and others - securing the consequences of mining damage (leighs, collapsed underground technological elements, tunnels, basements), - securing slopes and landslides, leveling the terrain, reclamation and exchange of land, - cleaning works and shaping paths, directing pedestrian traffic, - removal of self-seeds, invasive species and trees in poor condition, which must be removed to secure the site, - shaping zones for various users: semi-park, semi-garden, cascade terraces, vines collection, orderly succession and oak-hornbeam, - making supporting elements (steels, grilles, pergolas, trejas), irrigation system with pump supply (RES) and purchase of equipment, - educational campaign about the environment and reclamation. The project responds to the needs of the environments of the region – the site needs immediate intervention. Activities are planned taking into account its urban, conservation, natural and cultural values, creating an unusual but authentic ecoton, active in nature. Together with the refurbished buildings in Tasks 1, 2 and 4, the site is to become a model example of transformations and a magnet for outsiders. As part of the information and promotion activities, after obtaining the decision to co-finance the project, the Beneficiary will place the appropriate logotypes in notes published on the website, social media and local monthly. Logotypes will be used to mark documents related to the implementation of the project, e.g. inquiries, tender documentation, contracts, delivery and acceptance protocols. The purchased equipment will be marked with permanent stickers, in accordance with the guidelines. At the place of project implementation - generally accessible but outside the viewing axis of the complex, protected by conservation and urban planning - immediately after the start of the physical implementation of the project, an information board will be set up, which after its completion will serve as a commemorative plaque. Information about the project will be posted on the website dedicated to EU projects implemented by the City of Będzin and on social media, as well as on the site of the facility / project / site (here: Grodziec cement plant). The description of the project will contain all the required information in accordance with the assumptions of the Manual of Applicant and Beneficiary of European Funds for 2021-2027 in the field of information and promotion. In addition, the Applicant will organise an information and promotion event or activity (press conference or project promotion event) at the start of the project or at an important stage of the project. https://www.będzin.pl/strona-149-projekty_unijne.html
