The subject of the project is the extension and modernization of the building of the School Complex of Technical and General Education Schools No. 2, located in Katowice at ul. Mikołowska 131 together with providing access for persons with disabilities. The project includes the demolition of the gymnasium and the economic shed located at the southern façade in the school courtyard, the construction of a new 3-storey building with a teaching function with teaching studios, an elevator for people with disabilities and the reconstruction of a fragment of the school building due to the change in the function of the rooms at the interface between the new and the existing part. The facility will be adapted to practical training of professions in conducted and planned new fields of education, such as electrician technician, energy technician, automation technician, robotics technician and programmer technician. The project also provides for modernization of the School's land development, including access roads, parking spaces and fences. As a result of the project: -modern studios with equipment for competitions will be created: electrical technician, power technician, automation technician and programmer technician; -professional workshops will be equipped: economist technician, accounting technician, administrative technician, IT technician; -modern conditions and the scope of practical training will be created for real working conditions; -access to quality vocational training for young people will be increased; -professional competences of pupils for the needs of employers will develop; -students' interest in further vocational education will increase; Cooperation with employers will increase. Duration of the project: Q1 2023 - Q4 2026. The planned information and promotion activities are in accordance with the provisions of the Guide for Beneficiaries FE SL 2021-2027. As part of information and promotion activities, it is planned to purchase an information board. The FE, the colours of the Republic of Poland and the EU and the coat of arms of the voivodship will be displayed on all information and promotion activities concerning the project, documents related to the implementation of the project and products, equipment purchased in the project, by affixing permanent stickers on them.
