The aim of the project is to develop vocational training in accordance with the needs of the region's transformation in the Technical and General Education School Complex No. 2 in Katowice by creating modern conditions of education in adapted and equipped teaching work and improving the qualifications/skills of 160 students (17K, 143 M) and 10 teachers of practical vocational training (1 K, 9M), in the period from 1 September 2024 to 30 June 2026. Support under the project will be provided to students of Technical School No. 4, which is part of the Technical and General Education School No. 2 in Katowice, who are educated in the following fields: - automation technician - electrician technician - energy technician - computer technician - programmer technician - robotic technician The project assumes the following tasks: - support for pupils and teachers of practical vocational training in the field of improving qualifications/skills (courses, training, postgraduate studies) - implementation of adaptation works and retrofitting of a team of electrical-energy-robotic-automatic laboratories - implementation of adaptation works and retrofitting of 5 computer laboratories dedicated to specific specializations. The actions planned under the project to improve the quality of vocational education will contribute to strengthening human capital, increasing employment opportunities and professional development of residents of mining subregions responding to the needs of socio-economic transformation processes. Information on the implementation of the project will be available on the website of the Technical and General Education School Complex No. 2 in Katowice: https://www.zstio2.katowice.pl/ and the website of Katowice City Hall: www.katowice.eu. The information will include, among others, the title of the project, a short description of the project, the duration, the purpose of the project, the expected effects and information on co-financing along with a label appropriate for the European Funds for Silesia 2021-2027 programme. The poster informing about the project will be in a visible place at the entrance to the school, it will contain: format A3, mandatory labels, name of the beneficiary, title of the project, amount of co-financing from the European Union, portal address: www.mapadotacja.gov.pl. In addition, in front of the school building, an information board will be placed in a visible place in accordance with the model provided by the Managing Authority (MA). Any equipment purchased as part of the project for the practical apprenticeship workshop will be marked with stickers in accordance with the model provided by the MA. Communication within the project, including information and promotion activities, will take place using a telephone, e-mail, website, social media profile and direct contact at the project office located in the Technical and General Education Schools Complex No. 2 in Katowice.
